The 2024 Met Gala made several headlines for numerous reasons last night, thanks to the star-studded names that took to the red carpet.
The theme of this year's event was 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion' and the dress code was 'The Garden of Time', taking after a 20th century dystopian novel about the gulf in class between rich and poor.
Ironic, to be fair.

Regardless, many celebs stunned with their extravagant outfits at the prestigious annual event, held in New York City, though some went viral for the wrong reasons.
But there was one celebrity on the Met Gala red carpet that left people feeling concerned, with some labelling their outfit choice as 'unhealthy'.
Kim Kardashian is one of the most recognisable faces in pop culture, so it was natural that her look would be under a microscope.

The reality TV star wore a custom Margiela by John Galliano strapless silver corset over a floor-length silver leaf mesh netting and a grey shrug-style cardigan.
However, fans were quick to share their concern on social media after spotting the corset in particular, which makes her waist look cartoonishly small and almost as if she is missing an organ or two.
They said that the outfit choice made them 'uncomfortable' and 'actually concerning' if people tried to copy it.

But it's not just regular members of the public that were worried for the celebrity, as health professionals have also weighed in on the corset choice.
LADbible spoke to Dr. Hana Patel, NHS GP and GP Medico-Legal Expert Witness, about how Kardashian's dress may affect her in the long run.
She stated that it would be worse if the corset was actually tightly laced up at the back, comparing it to Victorian times, when women were so tightly laced that their breathing would be restricted, to the point of fainting.
"Compressing the abdominal organs could cause poor digestion and over time the back muscles could atrophy," Dr. Patel continued.

"In fact, long term tight lacing led to the rib cage becoming deformed."
The NHS GP concluded: "Organs can actually move permanently and result in permanent internal damage if too tight with waist trainers and corsets."
It's not just Dr. Patel saying this either, as according to the Royal College of Surgeons of England, women's ribcages did become deformed over time in the past due to extensive corset use, effecting their digestive tracts and having their back muscles atrophied through disuse.

I think it's a good thing that the minuscule corset isn't a regular fixture in Kardashian's everyday wardrobe.
