In the modern world of dating where non-monogamy is becoming far more normalised, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard’s odd stances on cheating and monogamy still manage to make headlines whenever they speak out.
They are not alone in their casual attitude to this. Comedian Nikki Glaser revealed yesterday that she ‘lets her boyfriend sleep with other women’ and data shows that more and more people are getting into relationships where they aren’t hung up on their partner sleeping with other people.
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have been married since 2013, but the Frozen actor made headlines when she said that if Shepard cheated, she wouldn’t be that bothered.
Bell told The Sun last year: “Kind of who cares, to be honest? I also know we’re monkeys. We’re both attracted to other people. We’re married. We’re not dead.”

Bell went on to state that she doesn’t ‘know that everyone has the privilege of this much confidence in their relationship.’
Shepard meanwhile has admitted to a ‘horrendous’ history of cheating on his podcast Armchair Expert, also claiming that Bell suffered from jealousy at the start of their relationship due to him having spent nine years in an open relationship.
The Nobody Wants This star has also stated in the past that she is ‘quite positive we are not meant to be monogamous’, however the pair have both confirmed that they are not non-monogamous or ‘swingers’ despite the semi-frequent nods towards it.
Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show, Shepard said: "The most exciting tabloid story was that we were Hollywood swingers.
"My favourite part of that happening was we got a lot of texts from other friends of ours saying, 'How could you not have invited me to the swinger party?' And they were joking, of course, because they know us, and they know we’re not hosting swinger parties.

"There’s a lot of hot couples out there, but we haven’t crossed that divide with anyone."
It comes as Shepard finally addressed the outrage caused by his Instagram post celebrating his and Bell's 12th anniversary.
It came as, coincidentally, he welcomed Glaser to his Armchair Expert podcast this week, who shared a joke she cut when preparing to host the Golden Globes.
It went: "Die My Love. If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You. Sorry, Baby. These are not just captions to Dax Shepard's Instagram post for Mother's Day."
Last October, Bell and Shepard were called ‘tone-deaf’ after, during domestic violence awareness month, Bell posted a picture of her and Shepard with the caption: “Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who, after an episode of Dateline, once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.'”
The couple were slammed by both social media commentators and experts alike, with domestic violence campaigners criticising the ‘joke’.
Shepard said: “I was alerted by someone that this whole thing was happening. Kristen knew through her publicist, but didn’t tell me.
“So, I actually didn’t know, and this was brought to my attention after a week and a half... I had no clue.
"Someone comforted me and I had to go to Kristen and go, 'What are they talking about?'"
Though he spoke out, Shepard did not comment on the joke itself, which many online felt was disrespectful to victims of femicide. One comment on her Instagram post received over 55,000 likes simply saying: "Domestic violence isn’t a joke."
But Glaser said she had no time for the hate sent Shepard's way, saying: "This is what you're talking about right now of all things. You f**king losers. Go read some files."
