Liam Payne's heartbreaking final public message about son Bear while celebrating 31st birthday

A video has resurfaced showing the singer talking about his son on his 31st birthday

Liam Payne's final public comments about his seven-year-old son have resurfaced online in the wake of his devastating death.

The music world was devastated to learn that Payne, 31, had passed away after falling from his third floor balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Reports from emergency services have since confirmed the singer had died from 'severe injuries which were incompatible with life' which had been sustained from the fall.

As fans and the music world come together to pay tribute to the singer, a touching clip showing Payne's final public comments about his seven-year-old son has resurfaced online.

Payne welcomed his son Bear with his then girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy (previously Cole) back in 2017.

The couple would later split in 2018, however, they would continue to co-parent their son, with Payne sharing updates on his son with fans from time to time.

The last time Payne spoke about his son publicly was one with 31st birthday back in August in which he referred to the child as his 'mini me' while sharing a sweet update with his followers on his social media platforms.

In the video the singer tells his followers that he was yet to receive a present from his son but was 'really excited' to speak to him later.

"I didn't get any dad socks yet though. I'm going to speak to my son in a little bit which I'm really excited about," he said in the clip. "Bless him. He's getting so big now. He's a big boy and he looks like a mini me. As if we needed any more me in the world."

In the hours following Payne's death, Alberto Crescenti, the head of the state emergency medical system, provided an updated on the incident, which read: "The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur.

"At 5.11pm an ambulance arrived and the man was certified dead," he continued. "Afterwards we found out he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal. There was no possibility of resuscitating him."

The update follows reports which stated police had been called to the hotel after being informed of an 'aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol'.

It is understood the star was in the city to attend a concert of his former bandmate Niall Horan, and he had shared various posts from the night on his social media accounts.
