It's not even been 12 hours yet, but Maya Jama has already had to make a 'leave me alone' post following her joint announcement with Stormzy that they had called time on their relationship.
We get it - they look great together, have careers that compliment one another and seemed to be the modern day Romeo and Juliet who found their way back to each other against all odds.
But as we all know, life is no fairytale and sometimes, it just doesn't work out.

The couple revealed they had broken up in a statement shared to social media earlier today (17 July), but made it clear that there were no hard feelings between them and that they still think the world of one another.
It read: "We've been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we'd be the couple announcing a breakup, but for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that's needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to.
"We fell madly in love in 2014, broke up in 2019, and then spent five years manoeuvring life apart.

"We decided to try for the final time in August 2023, and we've spent this past year trying our best to make it work; however, we recently decided to call it quits."
The statement went on to touch on the five years they spent 'growing together' and the other five they spent 'growing separately' - in reference to how their lives changed following their first split in 2019.
Maya and Stormzy continued: "So this final attempt required a whole lot of figuring out, relearning, and unlearning.

"We tried, and it didn't work, and that's okay."
The Love Island host, 29, and the Brit rapper, 30, then 'kindly asked for the grace to let both of us keep it moving and not be bothered about it', before adding: "We highly doubt this'll work, but we're still kindly asking anyway."
And would you believe it? They were right on the money... it didn't work.
Between social media users sharing monologues about how heartbroken they feel or fans of the pair deciding that they 'don’t believe in love anymore', there's obviously also been a media frenzy too.

Heck, we've already done two stories on it today ourselves.
But what the good people at LADbible have not done is go and track down the woman wading through heartbreak while presenting a dating show that's being filmed in Spain to disturb her while she's having some much-needed girl time.
Looking stunning in a blue cut out dress during golden hour, Maya took to her Instagram Story to call out both the climate she was in and the cameramen who had turned up to take snaps of her.

She told her 3.2 million followers in a short video: "The humidity is whooping my a***... and also, you cheeky little cameramen that are hiding down the road - please, leave me alone! I just want to have a nice time."
You heard the woman - let her have a nice time before she's got to put on a big grin and front the ITV2 dating show.
On the bright side though, at least her supporters know she's looking happy and is in good spirits despite the split.
Maya and Stormzy both insisted that they will remain 'friends' in their joint statement, which is at least one silver lining for fans to hold on to.
However, they urged people not to speculate if they are pictured together in the future, which was a common occurrence last year when social media sleuths worked out they were back together.
