Machine Gun Kelly explained why Megan Fox wore engagement ring that would physically harm her to take off

Machine Gun Kelly explained why Megan Fox wore engagement ring that would physically harm her to take off

The couple are currently expecting their first child together

Machine Gun Kelly previously revealed why he designed Megan Fox's engagement ring to be physically painful if she ever wanted to take it off.

First linked to each other back in 2020, the couples' relationship has since made headlines for all the weird reasons - including sharing drops of each other's blood, pretty extreme PDA at every possible public moment and NSFW revelations about their sex life.

Two years later Fox, 38, and Kelly, 34, would seemingly seal the deal with an extravagant engagement, complete with a ring designed to cause physical pain should the Jennifer's Body actress which to take it off.

Which was, of course, in keeping with the entire nature of their relationship.

Explaining how the ring, which features the pair's birthstones, was designed, MGK told Vogue: "The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings.

"When it's together, it's held in place by a magnet. And then it forms an obscure heart. And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns.

"So, if she tries to take it off, it hurts."

MGK designed it that way with Stephen Webster because he believes ‘love is pain’, even though if she decided she no longer loved him and took off the ring then she would be in more physical pain. But you know, each to their own.

Elaborating on the design of the ring via a post on Instagram, he added: "I know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love.”

In her announcement post, Fox kept things similarly weird, writing: "And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes...and then we drank each other's blood."

Clearly the pain inducing ring didn't deter Fox from taking it off, as the couple would call off their engagement during an appearance on Call Me Daddy podcast last year.

However, a cancelled engagement didn't mean the end of Fox's relationship with MGK, as the couple have recently announced they're expecting a child together via social media.
