Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have had quite the tumultuous few years with their relationship being heavily under the spotlight.
From shocking fans with their dating rituals to their recent baby news, it currently stands that the pair are not together.
Fox and MGK called off their engagement last year, having confirmed they were expecting a child together.

And after they shared the news of the arrival of their daughter yesterday (27 March), a source has told PEOPLE that the stars are going to be ‘co-parenting’.
So, while we won’t ever really know what goes on behind closed doors as all stars have their private lives, let’s break down the full relationship timeline (as we know it) of the actor and music star.

Romance begins
The pair are said to have met for the first time when filming the crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass in 2020, before production was shut down due to Covid.

A few months later, they were then spotted together in California with Fox’s then-husband, Brian Austin Green, soon confirming their split after nearly a decade of marriage.
In quick succession, their romance appeared on-screen when Fox made an appearance in MGK’s music video for ‘Bloody Valentine’.
And by July 2020, she was calling him a ‘twin flame’ in joint-interviews before he made it Instagram official on 28 July.
She then debuted the relationship on 5 August with the caption: “Achingly Beautiful Boy… My heart is yours.”

Engagement
After dating for over a year, MGK pulled out an engagement ring in early 2022 as they announced the news on Instagram.

The rapper had some rather unique rings made for the occasion as he revealed: “I know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”
Blood-drinking rituals
While the engagement was rather happy news for the couple, it was something else in Fox’s announcement post that most people were discussing.
After having ‘said yes’ to MGK’s proposal, she revealed: “And then we drank each other’s blood.”
A few months later, the star clarified this, confirming the pair were in fact drinking each others blood for ‘ritual purposes.'

"So, I guess to 'drink' each other's blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we're like Game of Thrones, drinking each other's blood,” she told Glamour. “It's just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other's blood on occasion for ritual purposes only."

Pregnancy news
After tragically confirming they had experienced a miscarriage in 2023, the pair announced they were expecting a child together.
The post came in November 2024, following a year or so of rumours and speculation that the pair had called off their engagement.

Fox wrote on Instagram: “Nothing is ever really lost. Welcome back,” using a lyric from MGK’s song about their miscarriage, ‘last November."
Break up
Rumours began once again at the end of last year that the pair had split up, with a source then telling PEOPLE in January that Fox was ‘done with him now.'
And TMZ shared that 'everyone in her orbit is happy about it' as a source added: “They feel like she finally came to her senses by shutting him out of her life."
But MGK seemed to rubbish much of this as within hours he wrote on Instagram: “How can 'sources say' when the sources haven’t said anything."
MGK's rhetorical question seemed to suggest that speculation about him and Fox being estranged isn't exactly accurate.
Arrival of their daughter
MGK shared yesterday that the former couple had welcomed their baby as he wrote on Instagram: “She’s finally here!! our little celestial seed. 3/27/25.”
He also added on Stories that the rapper had ‘composed the score of the birth’ as she was ‘born into 432 HZ’, with contribution from the likes of Travis Barker and Big Slim.
A source told PEOPLE that the pair will be co-parenting together: “Whatever issues they have, Megan and MGK both are on the same page when it comes to co-parenting.
“Right now they’re amicable."
They also suggested that people wouldn’t be surprised ‘if they gave their relationship another try’ further in the future.
“But right now they’re focused on what’s best for their daughter,” they added.
