Megan Fox has spoken out about her time in Hollywood and the aftermath of being pushed out of the limelight.
Fox has been in the news for a while thanks to her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly, but you’d be hard pressed to think of notable roles she’s had on screen since her time on Transformers.
She rose to fame after appearing in films like Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen and Holiday In The Sun, but didn’t become a household name until teaming up with Shia LaBeouf and Michael Bay for the 2007 blockbuster hit.

However, shortly after, she was essentially blacklisted as an actress after speaking out about the hypersexualisation of women in the industry.
Since then, she went on to star in Jennifer’s Body, which didn’t get the popularity it deserved thanks to her newfound reputation.
Then, she made several appearances in New Girl, before moving on to other small roles.

Now, she might be getting back up and rising to her full potential following her starring role in the new sci-fi thriller Subservience, but at what cost?
Speaking recently to InStyle, Fox addressed her comeback to Hollywood and the reasons why she believes that speaking up before #MeToo ruined her career.
However, now that the movement brought immense awareness to how women are treated, she feels vindicated.

In a 2009 interview with Wonderland magazine, Fox explained how she ‘was brought out and stoned and murdered at one point’ after her comments comparing director Michael Bay to Hitler and subsequent sacking from the franchise.
She added that after the #MeToo movement, suddenly everybody’s like, 'Wait a second. We shouldn’t have done that. Let’s bring her back'.
Since her return, she feels like she’s been able to get her career back, saying: “It is a little bit like being a phoenix, like being resurrected from the ashes.”

The actress shared that it was when she was in South Africa filming the 2020 movie Rogue that it all made sense to her.
She explained: “I took all my crystals, and I set up my little temple inside my room. I turned on this massive TV, and ‘Jonah Hex’ was on, which got panned in the press. It was supposed to be terrible.
“That night, I stayed up and promised myself that I would never live one more day of my life from fear. I came home, and my whole life changed. I got a divorce, and I started working more and doing more things.
“Then literally everything exploded from there.”

Now, she’s got her eyes on Marvel or DC and wants to play a character in the future.
She expressed that Hollywood doesn’t view those films as worthy of BAFTAs or prestigious awards, but she doesn’t give a ‘f*ck’.
She said: “Give me an MTV award. I don’t need a f*king BAFTA.”
Having just released her newest film Subservience, in which she played a subservient AI robot called Alice, she’s back in the limelight and viewers are excited for her comeback.
Now, she and MGK are expecting their first child together, and she is looking forward to having her family expand even further than the three children she shares with Brian Austin Green.
