It's one of those thoughts that come to you in the shower...are Mia Khalifa and Wiz Khalifa related?
I'm sure their family parties would be an absolute riot if so, but sadly, the former adult star and the US rapper are not.
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but neither of them go by their real monikers professionally - so the pair of them just sort of plucked the surname Khalifa out of thin air when it came down to deciding on a stage name.
To be fair, it's an Arabic word which means successor, leader, or ruler and wisdom - so as well as it sounding good, it's also got a nice meaning behind it too - but we'll come back to that.

Mia has managed to make her fans 'feel stupid' this week though, as hundreds of them had no idea that her parents didn't give her the moniker which is known around the world.
The businesswoman updated her Instagram bio to include her real name, although her username remains the same, which left a lot of social media users quite confused.
One said: "How stupid do you feel believing her real name was Mia Khalifa?"
Another added: "Her name isn't Mia Khalifa?!"

A third chimed in: "I honestly didn’t even know that wasn’t her real name until I looked it up just now."
While a fourth wrote: "If 'Mia Khalifa' isn’t her real name I ain’t trusting nothin'."
For those who haven't rushed to Mia's Instagram page to check what the name in her bio is already, you might be quite surprised to find out that she is actually called Sarah Joe Chamoun.

As you can tell, it's not really as catchy as her stage name, so you can understand why she put a pin in it during her stint in porn.
But after adding it into her bio, fans think she might be starting to embrace it.
So now we've got the elephant in the room out of the way, lets dig into where Mia got her infamous title from.
If you weren't aware, she burst onto the adult industry back in October 2014, after being approached by a man who propositioned her about nude modelling.

As many adult performers do, she decided to use a pseudonym while working in the porn industry and landed on the name Mia Khalifa thanks to her dog and Wiz.
She took the same name as her pooch, Mia, while using the end of the musician's stage name for the rest of it.
The model, 31, only spent a mere few months working in adult entertainment but she quickly became one of the most popular porn stars around.

You'd think she'd have earned some big bucks during her time in the industry, but Mia says she ended up walking away with a measly $12,000 (£9,650) - and claims she 'never saw a penny again after that'.
"Difficulty finding a normal job after quitting porn was… scary," she said.
The only saving grace is that she can slap her real name on the top of her CV rather than Mia Khalifa in big letters - but let's be honest, whoever ends up interviewing her would probably recognise her from her former career.
