A bloke from Bristol says he once nearly smashed an ash tray over Mike Tyson's head in a UK pub.
Former gangster Dean Cooper has gone viral for sharing a story about an almost-altercation between himself and the boxing legend.
Speaking on an episode of the Hurts So Good podcast, Copper opened up on his rise within the criminal underworld, some stories from prison, along with a crazy incident with his 'hero' Mike Tyson.

When Copper was a bit younger, he was waiting to meet Iron Mike in a hotel pub as his mutual friend and professional boxer Joe Egan promised to introduce them.
First, Tyson's security supposedly had a quick scan of the place for safety reasons, before the six-time heavyweight champion made his entrance.
“I've got up and said ‘Oh, hello Mike, Mike nice to meet you … I'm a friend of Joe Egan’s. It’s an honour to meet you, would you like a drink?'"
According to Dean, the boxer wasn't having any of it.

"Nah, you’re alright," Tyson allegedly said.
Cooper wasn't willing to tap out and responded: "Listen, I don’t mind buying for everyone … you’re one of my heroes.’"
The American still chose not to take Cooper up on his offer.

But then, just two minutes later, Tyson used the UNO reverse card and to ordered a round for all of his mates, while gesturing over to Cooper that 'the white boy's getting it'.
"Am I f***," said the one-time gangster.
"I can’t remember exactly what was said but I grabbed the ashtray and I thought f*** this.
"So it was a big commotion. They sort of all had him.

"He was shouting and screaming. I didn’t say no more, I just had the glass ashtray in me hand.
"I was gonna smash him straight in the head with the glass ashtray. About 40 body… security… bouncers or whatever said: ‘You’re lucky’. I said: ‘How am I lucky? I ain’t f****** lucky. He’s expected to knock me out. Imagine I knock that c*** out.'
"So I just thought, what’ve I got to lose. You know, you’re expected to get knocked out, so I thought f*** it, grabbed the ashtray, said he’s having it the c***."

You can listen to Cooper tell the story below, if you don't mind a bit of strong language:
Despite Cooper's brilliant storytelling skills, some viewers were having a hard time buying it.
One person wrote: “Think the least believable part is Mike Tyson saying ‘nah you’re alright mate’.”
Another added: “I once fought a silverback gorilla after he threw sh** at me. Gave him a few digs, got him in a headlock then slapped him in the crippler crossface. He tapped out, I helped him up, we shook hands & he nodded at me in recognition.”
Someone else said: “One of these guys in every pub.”
Just because someone might sound like Jay Cartwright, doesn't necessarily mean they are lying.
