Scarlett Johansson once had to remind fellow actress and Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow about the A-Lister she was once married to.
To be fair to Paltrow, a lot of people may have forgotten about this celebrity marriage as it was later followed by one of the most famous and well-loved relationships in the industry.
Johansson, who is best known for her roles in Marvel's Avengers films, Lucy and Marriage Story, is one of the most recognisable faces in Hollywood - which makes it more surprising that people continue to forget about her first marriage.

The actress was a guest on Paltrow's Goop podcast, named after her lifestyle company of the same name, and touched on the former's past and current relationships.
Currently, the 39-year-old is married to Saturday Night Live cast member Colin Jost, having met in 2017, tying the knot in 2020 and having their first child the following year.
Having met during one of the times she was hosting SNL and being friends beforehand, the pair hit it off as they started going out, as Johansson admitted that she never envisioned having this kind of relationship as she 'didn’t know what I wanted or needed from somebody else.'

Paltrow also touched on Johansson's past marriages on the podcast.
Paltrow asked: "You’ve been married two times?"
To which, the Endgame star responded by clarifying that she'd been married three times, as her second was to former journalist Romain Dauriac, whom she had a child with.

But then, Paltrow remembered: "Oh that’s right, because I forgot that you were married to Ryan Reynolds, goals!"
Johansson laughed, before opening up on her first marriage: "We weren’t married very long, but we were when I first met you, for Iron Man or whatever."
The host praised the Deadpool star, adding: "We love a good Ryan Reynolds in our house," with his ex-wife also saying: "He's a good guy."
Would you look at that, a rare, amicable celebrity break-up.

As we know, Reynolds has been married to actress Blake Lively since 2012, with the couple having four children together while balancing their several individual business ventures, such as the actor's co-ownership of Wrexham FC.
Reynolds and Johansson though, were not together for long, as they made it official at a private ceremony in September 2008, before calling it quits in 2010, with their divorce being finalised in December of that year.
At the time, they said, via People: "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage.

"We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated."
It's fair to say that everything worked out for the best for the actors.
