Scarlett Johansson addressed relationship with male co-star as he shares intimate image of them

Scarlett Johansson previously revealed why she has repeatedly planted her lips on her male co-star in a platonic way.

The actress, 40, might have been married to Saturday Night Live star Colin Jost since 2020, but she's shared several smooches with Jonathan Bailey in recent months.

She and her Jurassic World: Rebirth co-star aren't shy about it either - as they've publicly embraced on red carpets in front of tons of cameras.

On top of that, Bailey, 37, recently shared a snap on Instagram showing him getting up close and personal with Johansson.

And when I say up close and personal, I mean he's pretending to take a bite out of her neck while she poses seductively in a pair of shades.

Which would have been a killer couple picture...if one of the people in it wasn't already spoken for.

Johansson's husband Jost has already revealed what he thinks of his wife's close relationship with Bailey - saying people have 'blown it out of proportion'.

That's because the key detail here is that Bridgerton actor Bailey, 37, is an openly gay man.

Jost said: "People really blow it out of proportion, when someone kisses their friend hello, it's pretty nuts. Jonathan is an out gay man, he didn't seem like the biggest threat.

"Jonathan and I were like, 'I guess we have to kiss now, to close the loop'."

Bailey himself also spoke out about the situation, telling Entertainment Tonight: "I believe in being able to show love in all different ways. And if you can’t kiss your friends...life’s too short not to."

As you can see, pecking your pal isn't a big deal to these two - but what does Scar Jo herself have to say about it?

Well, the Marvel star spilled the beans about the motivation behind her kisses with Bailey during an appearance on Today back in June.

Host Craig Melvin brought up the elephant in the room, saying he wanted to dig into 'this kissing thing that you and Jonathan have been doing all over the world'.

After he also pointed out that her co-star 'so attractive', Johansson said: "Yeah, you said it!"

Prying further, Melvin asked: "Is that why we keep planting lips on him?"

Johansson then responded: "He’s a lovable guy, what can I say? I don’t know...we’re just friendly people."

Melvin remarked that he was surprised by the response she and Bailey have received from fans about their public displays of platonic affection, to which she added: "Nothing surprises me, you know what I mean?"

Johansson also previously told Access Hollywood: "People are really...they got some time."

So, it seems like these three reckon people are making a big stink about nothing.
