When it comes to cult classic films, there’s no denying American Pie is up there.
Twenty-seven years after it was made, the franchise still has its cultural influence with references continuing to float around on social media and some actors remaining known by their characters names.
And of course, one of its most memorable scenes carries on to be ingrained in some people’s minds: Nadia’s nude scene.
The controversial moment sees Nadia enjoying a bit of self-pleasure, while unbeknownst to her, her classmate Jim (Jason Biggs) is watching on a webcam.

He rushes over to try and get lucky, and the pair - unsuccessfully - try to have sex.
Shannon Elizabeth played the stunning foreign exchange student in the iconic film, but eventually quit the industry and moved from the US to South Africa.
The now 52-year-old may have admitted that she ‘wouldn’t have had a career’ without the infamous nude scene, but she made a bit of a U-turn in ditching Hollywood to work on her conservation charity.
And now, she’s decided to join OnlyFans.
From American Pie to OnlyFans
Having primarily found fame by getting her kit off in American Pie, Elizabeth now wants to take control of her own story.
“I've spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career,” she told PEOPLE.
The actor said her ‘new chapter’ on the subscription platform is all about ‘changing that’.
Elizabeth said she plans to show ‘off a more sexy side’ that hasn’t been seen by anyone, as well as to get ‘closer to my fans’.
'I really do think this is the future'
“I'm choosing OnlyFans because it allows me to connect directly with my audience, create on my own terms, and just be free. I really do think this is the future,” she added.
Fans of the actor will be able to subscribe to her page from today (16 April).
Having spoke openly about getting nude on screen before, Elizabeth said during the documentary Skin: A History Of Nudity In The Movies: “If I hadn’t done American Pie and I hadn’t done the role of Nadia and the nudity that came along with it, I might not have a career today."
She also told Entertainment Tonight that she’s very different to Nadia in that she’s ‘just not the girl who likes to be naked, ever’.
“Even at home I'm always covered up,” Elizabeth explained. “Like I have friends that sleep in the nude and they don't mind walking around that way. That was never me, but because that was kind of my coming out, everyone assumed I was that girl.”
Regardless of her contrast to the American Pie character, she added that ‘everything I’ve done in my life is because of’ the film.

“I kept putting more pictures up. I was like, holy s**t. In five minutes, I was able to pay back Compass Real Estate who kept the sale of my house,” she told the New York Post.

The 'Bodak Yellow' rapper originally joined the platform in 2020 to promote her single at the time, 'WAP'.
“On my OnlyFans, I will be putting the [behind the scenes] of the music video — not only the day of that music video — but the whole process of it,” Cardi said.
“I want to know what my fans would like to see there — what type of content would they like you guys to see there. We will be talking about personal stuff… straight-up real-life content.”
Sadly for her fans, Cardi no longer uses her OnlyFans.
