Unless you've been living under a rock for the past couple of weeks, you'll be more than aware that the Paris Olympics starts today.
The French capital is just hours away from the grand opening ceremony, which is set to take place along the iconic River Seine in a daring world first.
There are also plenty of celebrities who are involved in the opening ceremony theatrics, with rumours of a duet between Lady Gaga and Celine Dion even doing the rounds.

Another music industry icon who's been involved in the build up is Snoop Dogg - who carried the Olympic Torch along the final stretch of the relay through the streets of Paris.
Snoop, who is actually working as a special correspondent for NBC for the duration of the Olympics, was quick to share the moment of pride with his followers on social media, posting a picture of himself on X alongside the caption: "Did somethin today #FollowTheDogg"
Fans of the 52-year-old rapper were quick to share their joy over the moment, however, many couldn't resist making the same joke after seeing the photos... and we bet you're probably thinking the same right now.

Anyone who knows anything about Snoop will know that the 'Blaze It Up' rapper has long been associated with very open marijuana use, even profiting from various weed-related business ventures over the years.
So, of course, being photographed walking through the streets while holding a giant burning torch meant there would only be one type of response.
Cue the onslaught of weed jokes.
"Caption contest," joked Channel 4 news anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy, to which he received responses such as 'Lit', 'Blaze It Up' and 'Somebody need a light?'

"My boi Snoop better have lit an Olympic-sized blunt off that torch! Let the games begin!," another user wrote in a quote tweet, while a third person joked: "Snoop Dogg has just rolled the biggest blunt I've ever seen."
This isn't the first time fans have taken to social media to poke fun about Snoop's side mission to Paris either. Earlier this week several fans made sure to remind him that cannabis use is still very much illegal in Paris, which means Olympic torches are likely to be the only thing the rapper will be lighting up over the next couple of weeks.
Weed jokes aside, several people were also happy to see Snoop being recognised on a world stage as big as the Olympics, with one user aptly summing the situation up by saying: "I’m convinced. Only Snoop can unite the world."
