Look, cheaters and people who play games by their own rules can be pretty jarring. But if we’re going to let anyone off for it, I suppose Stephen Graham can get away with it.
The bloke’s an absolute legend, he can ‘make his own rules’ up if he wants and in fact, fans have praised him for doing it when naming his favourite films.
Graham is a favourite actor of many of ours, from the recent Adolescence and Boiling Point to the likes of This Is England and Gangs of New York.

But it’s none of those notable ones from his filmography that he listed in his take of Letterboxd’s ‘Four Favourites’.

Graham said listing is ‘four favourite films of all time’ is a ‘hard one’ as he took a moment to try and think up a list.
“I can give you, off the top of my head, it goes Kes,” the Scouse star began.
The British film was released back in 1969, based on the novel 'A Kestrel for a Knave', as it follows Billy (played by Dai Bradley), who is from a ‘dysfunctional working-class family’ but adopts kestrel and trains it in the art of falconry.

The Ken Loach directed film currently sits at 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and is available on Prime Video.
Then, next up on Graham’s list is where his rule bending comes in.
“Can I have Godfather one and two all the same?” he asked. “You can keep three, but can I have one and two together?”

Letterboxd let him off with this rule break, letting him class the two films as one spot in his ‘four favourites’ – essentially making it a top five.

“True Romance, Serpico and I’ve got one more… okay,” Graham continued.
“I’ve got a great British film in there – that was Kes – there’s loads of others, but I’m going to go with Jungle Book.”
With Kes, The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, True Romance and The Jungle Book making up his favourite ‘four’ films, one fan joked: “Not sure how this man does math, but good list!”
As another said: “I love how he makes his own rules,” while a third added: “Our boy did bonus work for us, love it!”

“Make your own rules Mr Graham,” a fourth quipped. “Love all the ones you chose. Serpico and Kes are a must watch for anyone that hasn’t seen them.”
A fifth said: "So his top 4 films are actually his top 6. Love this guy."
But if there’s one thing people are agreeing on in the comments, it’s that he’s ‘one of the greatest actors of all time’.
