Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid could be seen holding back tears as she announced the death of Strictly Come Dancing star Robin ‘Bobby’ Windsor at just 44.
Windsor joined the hit BBC dance show back in 2010 and was partnered with a host of celebrities including Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meadon and Patsy Kensit.
The tragic news was announced in a statement from the dance company he founded, Burn the Floor, which read: "The Burn the Floor family has lost one of its founding members, Robin “Bobby” Windsor - who has tragically passed away. A BTF journeyman he danced with us for twenty years - including Broadway, The West End and all our crazy adventures around the world.

"His stunning image attached with Jessica Raffa defined our company, colourful, extreme and sensual. His talent, attitude, energy and personality helped create the Burn the Floor stage reputation. He leaves a void in our hearts that will never be filled, yet our wonderful memories will stay forever.”
When the news broke this morning, a clearly emotional Reid was unable to share the announcement and left it to co-host Ed Balls.
Reid performed with Windsor in a special episode for Children In Need in 2011 and then appeared alongside him for the 2013 series of Strictly, where she was partnered with Kevin Clifton and Windsor danced with Meadon.

After composing herself, Reid paid tribute to Windsor, telling viewers: "He was an absolutely remarkable dancer, strong, so creative, he was just so enthusiastic about dancing. I just adored him.
"He was the most incredible personality. As soon as I danced with him there was something really special about it."
After the break, she continued: "I have wonderful memories of you, Robin. He was very sensual, wonderfully exuberant. Full of strength and creativity. He made me fall in love with dancing. He was a fabulous, phenomenal personality."

Good Morning Britain co-presenter Richard Arnold also became emotional while discussing Windsor’s death - he added: "Such heart, such a talent."
Reid is one of many stars to pay tribute to Windsor, with fellow Strictly dancer James Jordan taking to social media to write: "I had the pleasure of working with this man for many years on Strictly - I have such fond memories of him. He was always very caring and fun to be around. Everyone who came in contact with him adored him, from his celebrity partners to his working colleagues. You will be missed old friend."
