Going sober is becoming more and more common among young people with celebrities certainly playing their part in setting the new health trend.
One man who has been sober for over 20 years now is popular actor Tom Hardy, and he opened up in an interview with Jonathan Ross about one of the crazy situations he found himself in during his time as an addict.
The likes of Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway have also embraced sobriety in recent years, while Ed Sheeran shared his own reasons for ditching the drink after an honest conversation with his then-pregnant wife.

Hardy, who seemingly now relies on other substances to get himself through the day, such as the reported 60 strawberry ice cream vapes he had on his alleged rider list, hasn't had any drink or drugs for 20 years now, having struggled with addiction in his younger days.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror in 2017, the Mad Max actor said: "If I had four pints of lager and half a bottle of vodka I could turn this room into an absolute f**king nightmare in about three minutes. I could destroy everything in my life I have worked so hard for."
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show in 2010, Hardy said when asked what happened during his most chaotic nights out: "I can't remember to be honest, because a lot of it's a blackout, isn't it?
"I'd find myself in all sorts of places. I woke up in a bed in Los Angeles when I was supposed to meet John Lu one morning for Bulletproof Monk.
"I woke up in a bed with a dude with a gun, naked. With a cat, as well. I don't remember the cat, or the dude. The safety was off, that was the scary thing."

Ross commented it was 'lucky you're still here'.
It was back in 2003 when the 47-year-old first decided to make a change, after he reportedly woke up in a puddle of his own blood and vomit after a particularly heavy night.

After speaking with a doctor, he said: "I was told very clearly, ‘You go down that road, Tom, you won’t come back. That’s it. All you need to know,’.
“And that message stayed with me clearly for the rest of my days.”

He was 25 at the time and decided to go to rehab. After completing the programme, he hasn't had a drink since.
