Fans are convinced they've 'worked out' that Tom Holland will be the next James Bond, after spotting a link which the actor has to Amazon's upcoming 007 film.
Ever since Daniel Craig's James Bond met a rather explosive end in 2021's No Time To Die, the topic of who would take over the role of the iconic British spy has captured the attention of many.
Aaron Taylor Johnson appears to be the current frontrunner to play 007, while the likes of Idris Elba, James Norton, Harris Dickinson, Josh O'Connor and Tom Hardy have also been put forward by curious fans.

But given the number of names still doing the rounds, it's fair to say that casting for the next Mr Bond is still very much up in the air.
This hasn't stopped fans from looking for any crumb of information which could suggest a possible name; with several people pointing to a recent announcement made by new co-owners Amazon suggesting a possible way in for the Uncharted star.
Earlier today, it was confirmed that producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman would be producing the next James Bond film for Amazon MGM Studios, their first since gaining creative control of the iconic spy franchise.
"James Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema," the pair said in a joint statement.

"We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson who made so many extraordinary films and honoured and excited to keep the spirit of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure."
Heyman is best known for his work on the Harry Potter franchise, while Pascal worked with Holland on his Spider-Man films.

This link was enough for some fans to place Holland in the running for the role, with one fan writing on a recent Reddit thread about the topic: "It's funny how everything seems to be moving towards Tom Holland being the new Bond, it's like Hollywood is waiting for him to turn 30.
Sorry, but with Amy Pascal at the helm, it's definitely a possibility lol."
However, not everyone was convinced by the prospect, with others pointing out his involvement in two other franchises and youthful looks as potential reasons not to cast him.
"He'd make a much better villain, I think," another user replied to the idea.
It's also worth pointing out that Pascal has also worked on the Venom films and 2024's Challengers, which featured Hardy and O'Conner respectively.
