Charlotte Crosby has spoken about the embarrassing moment she got stopped by airport security for having a sex toy in her luggage.
Crosby had just landed in Dubai, where sex toys are prohibited, last month when she was pulled by security who had spotted the item in her bag.
She told the Daily Star she hadn’t intentionally packed the toy and had simply been rushing to pack her bag and make her way to the airport.
The reality star explained: "I just picked up one of my travel bags that I had taken to London with me and I shoved some stuff in there and jumped into the car and made my way to the airport.
"I didn't realise there was a small sex toy in the bottom of the bag and then when we landed and put our bags through security, they pulled us through to one side and said 'do you have a sex toy in the bag?'
"I was like 'no, I don't think so....'
"They were like 'you have' - so, I looked in the bag and I saw it and was like 'oh god, oh god'.
She went on to say that following the discovery there was an ‘awkward silence’, yeah, I can bet there was.
She added: "There was not really any chatting - no one spoke for at least five minutes and there were just lots of people looking at each other, then they were like 'go through'.”
To avoid a similar mortifying experience on the way back, the Geordie Shore star decided to get rid of the sex toy once she arrived at her accommodation - probably for the best.
Crosby had flew out to Dubai with her pal Adam Frisby, who shared the embarrassing encounter on his Instagram story on 10 December.
In his post, Frisby said their trip began with a 'stressful experience'.
He wrote: "Charlotte and I got pulled at the airport because she had a sex toy in her hand luggage.
"She nearly got arrested and we had to plead with airport security.
"I mean you couldn’t make it up! Absolute belter of a start!"
Fortunately for Crosby she didn’t end up in trouble over the incident and - judging by her Instagram uploads - was able to enjoy her holiday.
