Christina Ricci has claimed that someone once threatened to sue her if she didn’t agree to do a sex scene in a certain way.
Ricci shot to fame as a child, playing roles in various different movies such as The Addams Family and Casper before playing loads of roles as an adult, including turns in The Matrix universe recently, as well as turning up in Netflix’s hit Wednesday.
Anyway, it seems as if – like most women in Hollywood – Ricci has some horror stories to tell about her career.

Appearing on The View yesterday, Ricci was asked by co-host Sarah Haines if she thinks times really have changed for younger female actors coming up these days.
She asked: “How different is it do you think, for this cast, these younger versions, compared to when you were in that phase?”
Ricci responded: “It’s really great.

“Us older ladies talk about it all the time.
“It’s amazing to see that they don’t necessarily have to go through the things we had to go through.
“They’re able to say, ‘I don’t want to do this sex scene,’ ‘I’m not going to be naked,'
“They can set boundaries for themselves that we were never allowed to do.

“Someone threatened to sue me once because I didn’t want to do this sex scene in a certain way. It’s really changed and it’s great to see.”
This isn’t the first time Ricci has spoken about her experience.
In an interview with Sydney Sweeney, she said: “I remember once on a movie saying I wasn’t comfortable with something and they threatened to sue me if I didn’t do it.
“That would never happen now.”

Sweeney said: “What? Oh my God, I’m so sorry.”
Ricci hit back: “It was fine. I didn’t do it anyway. And they didn’t sue me.”
Well, that’s good at least.

At the minute, Ricci is starring in Yellowjackets, a thriller show about a group of teenagers who were in a plane accident in the 1990s.
Ricci plays the adult version of one of the characters - Misty - and has received an acting Emmy nomination for her performance back in 2021.
The second season of Yellowjackets is set to be released on March 24 this year on Showtime, and they’re so confident it’ll continue to be a success that they’ve already got their sights set on a third season.
She recently admitted that the success of the first season left everyone a bit apprehensive about coming back again.
On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Ricci admitted: “Everybody was terrified.
“There’s been a lot of hype and build-up about how good everything is.
“It’s so wonderful to be so well-received and the accolades and everything, but then you have to go back and do it again.”
