A ‘fussy’ couple on A Place in the Sun refused to even take a look at property on offer, with the presenter saying it was ‘a first’ for the show - you can see how that played out here:
For those unfamiliar with A Place in the Sun, the premise pretty much reflects the title - Brits enlist the help of host Jean Johansson to help them find a new home somewhere sunny.

Jeffrey and Trudi had flogged their home in the UK and were hoping to find themselves a new pad around the area of Denia in Spain’s Alicante - but when it came to potential properties they had a strict set of criteria they wanted to adhere to and weren’t willing to settle for anything less.
However, with their home already sold Jean admitted to ‘feeling the pressure’ while trying to find the perfect home for the ‘fussy’ couple.
After revealing they had a £220,000 budget, Jean got to work finding them some suitable properties.
After being left unimpressed with the first and second properties, Jean told the couple the next one was ‘about a five minute walk from here’ while standing on a sun-soaked beach.

Jeffrey immediately commented: "Oh gosh, right.... Okay.”
At this point Jean joked that she’d hoped for a ‘bigger reaction’ from the pair, but was told by Jeffery: "Yes.. yes... but no, because that isn't in our remit to be this close to the sea."
Jean explained that she had ‘thrown it in’ for the couple, before taking them to the property and asking them what they thought.

And Trudi was straight down the line, telling Jean: "It's erm... not for us.”
While Jeffrey added: "No, no, definitely not."
To sweeten the blow, Trudi then said: "I love the fact you've been able to find us something so close to the beach. But it's made me realise looking around that an elevated view is more important than being close to the beach."

Jean replied: "I haven't even told you the spec of the property yet. I haven't given you the price you haven't looked around .. and you've made your decision?"
To which Jeffrey said: "Yeah absolutely.
"It's four walls, can't see anything... we're in an area where we're actually too close to the beach, we want to be further inland..."
A surprised Jean then replied: "Well that's a first for me, Jeff, that's a first for me.. you're too close to the beach? This is Spain! Everybody wants to be close to the beach!"

Prompting Trudi to explain: "I know, I think an elevated view is what we want.
“We don't mind travelling to the beach, it's a day out, but coming home and having that view... it's made me realise that's more important."
Perhaps unsurprisingly, at the end of the show the couple revealed they wouldn’t be putting any offers in.
