Dwayne Johnson finally addresses rumours of on-set behaviour and admits to peeing in bottles

Dwayne Johnson finally addresses rumours of on-set behaviour and admits to peeing in bottles

Dwayne Johnson was accused of turning up to set eight hours late while filming new movie Red One

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has finally responded to the rumours of his icky on-set behaviour and it’s golden…ahem.

If you’ve not heard about it yet, Dwayne made headlines this year after a report was released by The Wrap which detailed how the former wrestler had allegedly majorly delayed the production of his new movie, Red One.

Now, it’s only recently come to the cinemas, but it was actually supposed to be released last year, but was pushed all the way back to November 2024, which The Wrap's report claims was partly due to Johnson.

Sources told the publication that Johnson would engage in bad behaviour on-set, including something that’s pretty gross.

The source said that the actor would frequently be late to set, sometimes even strutting in a whopping eight hours behind schedule.

It also accused the A-lister of deploying a handy, yet icky trick to save time.

Apparently, sources say that the 52-year-old star would pee in water bottles instead of using the toilet, as he believed this would save him some time and a journey.

The anonymous source said: "On set, away from his trailer, if he needs to pee, he doesn’t go to the public bathroom.”

While it’s been a few months since the source snitched, Dwayne has kept his lips locked…until now.

In a recent interview with GQ, he actually addressed the rumours about his urinating habit and he boldly revealed all.

When asked about peeing in a bottle, he admitted: "Yeah, that happens."

He also does this at the gym as well as on set, apparently.

When asked about the claims that he’s also late to set, Dwayne continued: "Yeah, that happens too."

However, he claimed that it wasn’t eight hours like the report revealed.

"But not that amount, by the way," he added. "That was a bananas amount. That’s crazy. Ridiculous."

Backing up the statements about his tardiness, Red One director Jake Kasdan also shared that the star would sometimes be late to set while filming the movie but was adamant that the WWE alum 'never missed a day of work'.

Kasdan told GQ: "He has a lot going on. He can be late sometimes, but such is Hollywood - that’s the case with everybody.

"Honestly, I’ve made three big movies with him. I’ve never seen him be anything but great to every single person on the set."

The magazine also saw Dwayne talk about taking accountability, which is exactly what he had just been doing by admitting to his strange bathroom habit.

He said: "I’ve said a thousand times: 'Hey, I’m here. Come and ask me. And I’ll tell you the truth.'"

That’s great, but peeing in a water bottle is still odd.

Anyway, if you’ve not yet seen Red One, the latest Christmas movie to be released, you’re missing out as it also stars Chris Evans.

It follows the story of Santa Claus (code name: Red One) being kidnapped, which leads to the North Pole's Head of Security (Dwayne Johnson) teaming up ‘with the world's most infamous bounty hunter’ (Chris Evans) in a bid to save Christmas.

Sounds great, doesn’t it?
