Hold the big phone, it looks like we're getting a Trigger Happy TV spinoff.
The good news was shared by Dom Joly himself, who created the iconic Noughties comedy show more than 20 years ago. Feel old yet?

Long before the rise of YouTube and TikTok, Trigger Happy TV revolutionised the world of public pranks, with Joly's 'big phone man' bit proving to be a hit.
But this was in the year 2000, when mobile phones were only just becoming mainstream and the internet had not yet infiltrated our lives in the way it has now.
As such, Joly's set to reboot the Channel 4 show with an exciting new format.
Speaking to The Sun, the 55-year-old comedian said: "I spent a lot of time on Trigger Happy honing my skills annoying members of the public so now I'm going to take those skills and maybe take on something else.

"I did a small reboot for Channel 4 before but there were two things I really wanted to do: one was a movie and the other was to try and get a completely new spin on Trigger Happy.
"So it’s the same sort of comedy, same sense of humour and the same people behind it but doing it for a completely different purpose and I think we've come up with a completely new format so it's really exciting.
"I’m just waiting for the green light but it's going to be a really, really cool thing."

Fans have been taking to Twitter to give their seal of approval, with one writing: "I can't wait, his style of humour always had me in stitches."
"Loved Trigger Happy TV," said another. "And the soundtrack was amazing."
Some people reminisced about their favourite skits, including this person who said: "Remember Trigger Happy TV when it was open poetry night and he just read out numbers starting from one…
"That was the 90s and even then, pretentious w***ers all nodded like chumps at the start."

If Joly gets the green light, there'll be plenty more where that came from.
While the idea of a Trigger Happy spinoff has been met with excitement, the same can't be said for the news that Peep Show is getting another American remake.
The Channel 4 sitcom ran from 2003 until 2015, amassing a cult following who consider it to be one of the very best things to ever come out of Britain.

There have been numerous doomed attempts to recreate Peep Show in the US (one pilot was so bad it managed to inadvertently make viewers more uncomfortable than the original), but now they're gonna have a fifth stab at it.
Unlike the aforementioned horrendous pilot, the new one isn't going to try and accomplish the impossible task of directly emulating the series, but will instead 'take inspiration' from it.
Probably a good idea.
