Ed Sheeran has revealed a disgusting habit he really like doing on stage when nobody has a clue what he's up to. Find out the terrible truth here:
You'd think a performer as popular as Ed Sheeran wouldn't be able to get away with anything on stage, all those cameras on him and every fan's eyes glued to him.

Sheeran's a busy little bee with all of his performances, even once having to dash across the UK to make it to two different gigs he'd been booked in for that day.
However, the singer recently revealed there's something he loves doing while on stage that his fans have no clue he's up to, especially during his love songs.
Posting on TikTok, Greg James revealed that Sheeran likes getting wheeled into the stadiums he's performing at in a box to avoid being mobbed by crowds, but that wasn't his only habit.

Sheeran, who calls himself Teddy when emailing, was asked by the fans if his habit of getting wheeled around in boxes had ever backfired and left him 'hot boxed' thanks to a nervous fart.
The singer answered back to his fans that he'd never done that, but did reveal the disgusting thing he likes doing when on stage.
He wrote: "Nah but I love an on stage fart, especially through a ballad.
"I look at the crowd listening intently and think 'you don't know what's coming out of me'."

That's a bit weird Ed, to look out at the crowd focused on you and your music while you secretly know you're letting out a fart and nobody has a clue.
To be honest, it's probably a good thing that Sheeran is letting rip on stage as it really is a case of better out than in when it comes to farts.
Dr Karan Raj has previously explained why you should never hold in a fart, as the noxious gases might eventually get reabsorbed into your bloodstream and breathed out.

The average person farts 14 times a day and according to Dr Karan anyone who tries to pretend they don't is a liar, since the law of the playground that 'whoever smelt it, dealt it' isn't strong evidence.
As for Sheeran, if he's farting while he's up on stage and nobody can see or smell it then it's not really hurting anyone unless he stands to close to anyone he's performing with.
Still, if you ever find yourself in the front row of an Ed Sheeran concert and start to smell something nasty, now you'll know what it is even if you probably wish you didn't.
