Before she was starring as eccentric Hunger Games chaperones or making movies about bears on cocaine, Elizabeth Banks popped up in all sorts of comedy classics.
From Wet Hot American Summer to Meet Dave, the actor took every opportunity to show off her slapstick chops.
But perhaps one of her most memorable appearances was her role in Judd Apatow's The 40 Year Old Virgin starring Steve Carell.

In the 2005 flick, directed by Judd Apatow, Elizabeth Banks played Beth, a bookstore clerk who finds herself besotted with Carell's character, Andy.
At first, Beth seems like the perfect girl to help Andy lose his virginity, but when they go home together, her wild side proves a little too much for him.
Although (spoiler alert) Beth doesn't end up being the lucky girl who takes Andy's virginity, things get pretty raunchy.

It was an unforgettable role that has followed Banks throughout her career, which has been all well and good - until her friends' kid discovered the film.
Elizabeth spoke about the humiliating moment in an interview with Conan O'Brien, while he was taking a look back through her impressive career.
Conan told her: "When I saw you in The 40 Year Old Virgin, you were crazy attractive popping up on the screen, but also the way you were playing it was so funny in a different way that I hadn't quite seen before."

Elizabeth thanked him before admitting: "I have not seen that movie in a long time, but you [know] who did was my friend's kid who's 13."
Recalling how it all went down, she joked: "It's like, 'So you had a bar mitzvah?' and then he watched The 40 Year Old Virgin.
"I'm, like, literally his auntie."
Conan joked: "And now he'd like to speak with you, if possible."

Elizabeth added that, when she pulled her friend aside, she learned that he had totally forgotten she had such a racy scene in the hit comedy.
"I was like, what were you thinking? He was like, 'I kind of forgot about that part.'"
A likely story...

Since then, Elizabeth has moved from acting to directing with films like Pitch Perfect 2, Charlie's Angels, and most recently Cocaine Bear.
Banks spoke to LADbible last month about how she researched for arguably the wildest movie of the year.
"We did have to guess a bit because really none of us really know what a bear on cocaine will be like,” the director and actress shared.
"We did look at bears drinking Coca-Cola and what that would kind of feel like. We looked at a lot of bear behaviour like bears being upset at things, bathing, you know - just how fast some of them can move.
"But I felt we were able to take a little creative licence with the cocaine because no one will ever really know what a bear is like doing coke."
