The gripping trailer has dropped for a new drama based on the shocking true story of Michelle Carter, who was jailed after encouraging her boyfriend to take his own life. You can watch it below:
Elle Fanning takes on the role of Carter in The Girl From Plainville and looks identical to the infamous convict in the new series.

Carter was jailed for involuntary manslaughter in 2017 after sending texts to her boyfriend Conrad Murray, 18, telling him to end his life.
One of the texts read: "If you don't do it now, you're never going to do it. And you can say you'll do it tomorrow, but you probably won't."
Perhaps the most astonishing physical similarities between actress and subject are in the courtroom scenes where Michelle was convicted.

The show's makeup team has done an incredible job of replicating the same eyebrow thickener Michelle used for Elle.
Michelle had originally suggested Conrad seek professional help after he revealed his depressive thoughts to her over texts.
But later she is proven to have encouraged him to take a drastically different action.
Another text read: "I thought you wanted to do this. The time is right and you're ready, you just need to do it!

"You can't keep living this way. You just need to do it like you did last time and not think about it and just do it babe.
"You can't keep doing this every day."

Michelle is from Plainsville, Massachusetts, in the US and was only 17 when her boyfriend was found dead in 2014.
The pair had only met five times in person but kept up a consistent relationship via their mobile phones and email, according to Elle.
On 29 June 2014 Michelle started to conspire with Roy about how he could end his own life.
She wrote to him: "You better not be bulls***ting me and saying you're gonna do this and then purposely get caught."

Michelle then asked whether she could call herself his girlfriend after he was dead and Roy was later found dead from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Michelle was released from prison after serving less than a year of a 15 month sentence and is now serving a five-year probationary period.
Hulu produced the series and the first episode is due to air on 29 March in the US with a talented cast including Chloë Sevigny.
