Practically seeming like antiques nowadays, many of us have still got a fair few DVDs gathering dust under the telly or sitting in a box in the loft.
And while you might think they’re relatively useless in days of Netflix, there’s a legendary film which you could sell for a fortune if you’ve got a copy.
Unable to stream in certain countries and out-of-production on Blu-Ray, it’s just had a sequel announced so there’s likely to be plenty of people looking to refresh their knowledge on the original.

You can find copies on eBay but they’re not exactly cheap.
Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later came out back in 2002, but the iconic zombie apocalypse film isn’t available for streaming.
Sure, you might find some versions of questionable quality shared online but they’re not going to match up to actually watching it properly.

Starring Cillian Murphy, copies of the film sell for around 40 quid – quite the profit for just a random DVD that’s been sitting on your shelf for over a decade.
And it’s likely that value will go up as the stars of the sequel, 28 Years Later, were announced yesterday (24 April).
Directed and written by Boyle and Alex Garland, Murphy is going to return too except he won’t be in front of the camera. The Oppenheimer star will instead be an executive producer.
Announced to be joining the cast are Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer, the rumoured new James Bond Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Harry Potter star Ralph Fiennes.

There was actually a sequel in 2007, titled 28 Weeks Later, but it wasn’t created by Boyle or Garland.
The original post-apocalyptic world film gave a mega boost to the zombie genre, leading to the likes of World War Z and The Walking Dead. 28 Days Later is classed as a bit of a ‘surprise success’ as it ended up making more than £85 million worldwide.
Users on X reacted to the casting news last night as they said the ‘film is going to be massive’ and they ‘cannot wait to see what they do with’ it.

Many wrote it’s ‘time to cook’ as they praised the casting, putting: “I can imagine in my mind exactly what roles each of them they would play.
“Holy f**k this will be a banger,” one said, as another put: “Goated cast. So excited for this one.”
As others echoed: “With that cast it will be hard to miss.”
