Somehow, Heisenberg returned.
That's the premise of a mocked up film trailer for Breaking Bad 2, a film which is very definitely not coming to a cinema near you any time soon.
It starts with some guy being walked down a corridor in prison, an explosion and a voice that sounds like Aaron Paul being filtered through an AI saying: "I've been looking for you, old friend."

Apparently the idea behind this fake trailer is that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) didn't actually die at the end of Breaking Bad, and will instead 'remind them just who the hell Heisenberg is'.
This looks like a series of shots of Breaking Bad's cast in other projects, as well as some explosions and car chases, because Aaron Paul was in Need for Speed.
It's a 'concept trailer', meaning it's not come from any official source and has instead been cobbled together by some dedicated fans.

Some want some kind of return for Breaking Bad, and trailers like this are basically a way to fuel that fantasy.
Breaking Bad fans who've seen it have said it would be 'amazing' to have the beloved characters back, while others admitted that they 'fell for it' with palpable disappointment that they won't be getting what the trailer is offering.
Honestly though, would you really want some kind of other thing to follow Breaking Bad?
There's nothing wrong with dreaming about ways your favourite shows and characters might come back, but Breaking Bad's last episode aired over a decade ago, it's almost five years since El Camino released and we're coming up to a couple of years since Better Call Saul ended.

This whole world had a great run between 2008 and 2022, but it's pretty much over.
Despite what the mocked-up trailer would like to be the case, Walter White definitively died on the floor of a meth lab and that'd seem to be the end of his story.
Do you really want to take away Jesse's ending from El Camino where he was able to escape to Alaska and finally get a chance to start his life over free from everything that happened in Breaking Bad?
Meanwhile, Better Call Saul appears to have wrapped up the whole thing pretty neatly as Jimmy/Saul owned up to everything he'd done and was sentenced to prison for basically the rest of his life.

Everything ends and ultimately there's got to be a point where you stop flogging a dead horse - especially when the horse died of natural causes after a long and fulfilling life.
You'd also have a hard time getting Bryan Cranston on board, as he told Awards Radar the only way he'd return is if Vince Gilligan suddenly came up with an idea that made him shout 'OH MY GOD'.
Cranston also said to ET Online that he'd come to accept Walter White's story was over, and continuing would undermine the ending to Breaking Bad.
Maybe it's time to move on and find another show to fall in love with.
