As annoying as it might be, the reality is a lot of people’s favourite films are often thought to be pretty crap by others.
And it’s always gutting when you’re loving watching something and find out it’s got a low rating.
But sometimes, you’ve just got to push past it - like when people think a new series is ‘nonsense’ and yet others are hooked on it.

Similarly, as one of 2023’s creepiest films being added to Netflix, fans are being urged to ignore its Rotten Tomatoes score.
Yeah sure, there’s plenty of horror films on the site as it seems like a new one is added every day so you might wonder why there’s any point in watching something rated so badly.

With Superbad duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg on the production team, the movie features The Boys’ star Antony Starr and Freaks and Geeks’ Lizzy Caplan.
It follows eight-year-old Peter (Woody Norman) who keeps hearing a mysterious tapping from inside his bedroom wall, which his parents (Caplan and Starr) insist he is imagining.
But as his fear gets worse, the kid believes they are hiding a dangerous secret which turns out to be deadly.

Ouch.
While others said it’s just stuck in a level of ‘bog-standard scariness’.

But WhatToWatch called it one of the ‘creepiest movies’ of last year as it says horror fans should watch it and that the Tomatometer’s score is ‘unfairly low’.
Look not all viewers loved it either, but some said it ‘kept their heart pumping’ with a ‘great plot twist’.
“It’s actually a very good movie with a good story line and plot twist - the acting is great, not loads of jump scares but more suspense and had you on the edge of your seat,” another said.
