The first ever trailer for Dune: Part Three has released, demonstrating it’s absolutely stacked cast of celebrity actors.

Dune: Part Three sees the return of stars such as Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, and new stars such as Robert Pattinson.

Though Chalamet may have only lost the Oscar for Best Actor just a couple days ago in dramatic fashion, but the actor’s next big project is already ramping up its marketing run.

Dune: Part Three has been marketed as the ‘conclusion to the story’ in the first look character posters released yesterday, 16 March, and the trailer shows off Chalamet and Pattinson's new looks for the film.

The Dune X and TikTok had promised a trailer released today via TikTok live, which was shown after a brief Q&A from director Denis Villeneuve in which he explained the difference in this film: "It happens many years later. It's a very different movie from the two first ones," also confirming for the first time that the movie is set 17 years after Dune: Part Two.

Check out the trailer here:

The French-American actor shaved his head for the role, with his completely changed look matching the huge changes that his character Paul Atreides goes through between the first Dune Book and Dune: Messiah.

Whilst the first Dune book was split into the first two movies, the third and seemingly final movie in the trilogy will be telling the story of Messiah, but with some serious changes to Zendaya's character Chani.

Speaking in the Q&A shown on TikTok Live prior to the film's trailer being released, Robert Pattinson revealed that he had actually spoken to Zendaya on the set of The Drama, one of the three films that the pair are starring in together this year.

Pattinson similarly looks totally unrecognisable in the film, playing the book fan-favourite Scytale.

The trailer also revealed that Jason Momoa is returning for the third film, a move that is sure to thrill fans of the books and confuse people who are only fans of the films who saw his character Duncan Idaho die a the end of the first film.

Much of the focus of the trailer is on Paul Atreides and the war he started at the end of Dune: Part Two, with many feeling that the heroic protagonist becomes a villain by the second book Messiah.

This is represented in part by Chalamet's new look, meant to more closely resemble the villainous Harkonnens from the previous films who he discovered he is related to.

Fans look thrilled with the first look at the final film in the trilogy, with one popular comment on YouTube calling for director Denis Villeneuve to receive an Oscar.

They said: "If Denis Villenueve does not win that Oscar again, that would be a crime. Cinematography and soundtracks at their best."

Others are hoping that Chalamet's role in the film will be what finally gets him over the line and wins him an Oscars for Best Actor after three nominations and no wins.

One comment said: "Timothée get ur oscar already."
