There are a few things you can just absolutely guarantee in life: death, taxes, and MCU fans deciphering the tiniest details in trailers to find hidden easter eggs.

This trend has continued with the first trailer for the brand new Fantastic Four film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The trailer shows of Marvel’s first family’s debut in the MCU, with Pedro Pascal starring as Mr Fantastic, alongside Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch, Vanessa Kirby as The Inivisible Woman, and Eben Moss-Bachrach as the Thing.

Across Pascal’s MCU debut, Moss-Bachrach’s brilliant rocky prosthetics, and the stylised special effects for Kirby and Quinn, the trailer was massively well received, with 19,000,000 views on YouTube in just over a day.

Though near everyone can agree that Pascal is perfectly cast in the role, there is still a ton of support for John Krasinski taking on the role.

After years of fan casting Krasinski as Mr Fantastic, aka Reed Richards, he took on the role for a cameo in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness.

According to fans who have analysed the trailer for hidden easter eggs, there is one small section which hints that Krasinski could be rejoining the MCU sooner than we think.

One section of the video shows Pascal’s Mr Fantastic writing on a chalkboard, and fans zoomed in to try figure out what he was working on.

One TikTok MCU fan posted a close up, saying he is working on a ‘multiverse bridge’.

For those not as nerdy as myself reading, essentially, they believe that he is working a way to travel to alternate realities with other versions of every character.

With Tom Cruise playing Iron Man, Jensen Ackles as Captain America, and Emily Blunt as Black Widow - though, it's worth mentioning none of these particular stars are confirmed and have previously spoken out about not getting the roles mentioned - the alternative universes will have all different heroes.

One famous Mr Fantastic storyline though is called the ‘Council of Reeds’, and involves various different versions of the character across the multiverse working together.

The account razzie.tok suggested that this was planned to be done with Pascal’s version of Mr Fantastic alongside the versions that preceded it, including Ioan Gruffudd’s 2005 version, Miles Teller’s 2015 version, and Krasinksi’s Doctor Strange version.

One comment read: “I’m sorry but to see Pedro Pascal John Krasinski and Ioan Gruffudd all on one screen portraying Reed Richards just like [Spider-Man: No Way Home] would be so tuff idc”

Another said: “The ending of the trailer looks like they’re in some futuristic court room could be the council of reeds maybe?”

Regardless of your thoughts on the theory one thing is sure: when Marvel has MCU nerds firing off crazy theories like this, you know it is back to its best.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps comes out July 25.
