Readers often complain that characters never live up to the images they have in their minds whenever a beloved book is faithfully adapted.
However, new AI images of Harry Potter characters show what they should look like based on their book descriptions alone.
Whilst the tech adaptations are incredibly impressive, fans have still been arguing over which character is the most authentic.

The magical AI images were originally created by Vietnamese Reddit user MsBananaAnna and later shared in a thread, leaving fans completely spellbound.
Starting off with the titular boy who lived, Harry Potter is shown with his iconic scar and round glasses.
Unlike Daniel Radcliffe though, his eyes are almost luminous green with one commenter dubbing him the ‘anime Harry’.

Meanwhile, his best friend Ron is instantly recognisable thanks to his flaming red locks and greyish t-shirt – which is strikingly similar to actor Rupert Grint’s in the first film.
Ginny Weasley was also shown with her bright red hair, which was poker straight just like in the films.

Hermione Granger is also easily spotted thanks to her thick curly hair, although admittedly it’s much bushier than is depicted in the books.
Other students have also gained an impressive AI look, such as Luna Lovegood, who looks much more child-like compared to her on-screen counterpart Evanna Lynch.
It saddened some Reddit users, who argued that the actor was the perfect casting choice for the role with one even saying that the film version was ‘more fitting’.

The tech’s interpretation of Neville Longbottom may surprise fans too, with its bright blonde hair which is very different to Matthew Lewis’ adaptation.
Though it’s more authentic to the books, fans still debated about the long-suffering student’s appearance – with one even complaining that it was ‘too golden’.

However, there were few arguments over Draco Malfoy’s appearance with the character being instantly recognisable to Reddit users as it looked virtually identical to a young Tom Felton.
The same could be said of his father Lucius, who will undoubtedly hear of the new AI image.
Of course, students weren't the only ones with vivid descriptions in the books though.
Among the Hogwarts alumni was Sirius Black, with the former Azkaban prisoner also being rendered by AI.
However, one fan argued that he shouldn’t have been in the Wizarding World as he looked like the ‘protagonist from a vampire TV series’.
Others were more impressed by the Redditor’s tech skills after seeing her recreation of several staff members including Severus Snape and Remus Lupin.
They even painstakingly recreated villains which ranged from mere muggles, like Vernon and Dudley Dursley, up to he who shall not be named.
Even Bellatrix Lestrange was included in the outstanding mix of baddies from the Wizarding World, with the AI version looking noticeably more made up.
Fans were also amazed by Voldermort , who was almost identical to actor Ralph Finnes with one fan arguing that the AI version ‘creeped’ them out ‘more than the movie’.
We wonder which fandom the Redditor will tackle next.
