It's that week in-between Christmas and New Year where nobody knows what day it is and quite frankly, who they are, making it the perfect time to sit back and binge-watch some TV.
Many may still be in Christmas movie mode, however, one horror film being watched by some this festive season has been labelled as 'vile' and slammed as the ‘most depraved piece of media ever seen’.
In fact, some have said it was that bad they couldn't sleep after watching it, branding it 'twisted' and 'disgusting'.

Those unfortunate labels belong to The Human Centipede 2 - a 2011 horror that is pretty scary indeed.
An official synopsis for the film reads: "A depraved mama's boy (Laurence R. Harvey) goes on a killing and collecting spree to recreate the experiment portrayed in The Human Centipede (First Sequence)."
The first of the series follows a deranged German surgeon who kidnaps three tourists and conjoins them surgically, mouth to anus, forming the eponymous 'human centipede.'
Its sequels become even more gross and absurd as copycats create their own centipedes with ever-growing groups of victims.

And that level of gross was seemingly too much for a lot of film fanatics, something evident by one particular Reddit post.
Taking to the horror Reddit forum, o ne user penned: "This sh*t was way worse than a Serbian film for me. Seriously what the hell. I have no problem with gore and extreme stuff but this.. this is the most depraved piece of media I’ve ever seen.

"Even before all the twisted sh*t started, this movie had this truly sick tone I can’t even describe. I’ve never felt so disgusted watching something in my whole life. I mean, the gas pedal scene? The barbed wire and sandpaper? The main character?"
After it was posted on Reddit on Boxing Day, many have flocked to the comments section to provide their reaction to the strong views.
"The second movie is what everyone thinks the first movie is. The first movie is not really that bad compared to what you have in your mind before seeing it," one Redditor penned.

A second added: "I had insomnia one night around 2am and decided to see what was on tv and then watched it to the end missing around 10 minutes of the beginning, couldn’t sleep after that."
While a third remarked: "It’s also dreadfully boring while being gross with no purpose. This movie is one of the least entertaining things I’ve ever watched."
