Margot Robbie recalled how one scene in The Wolf of Wall Street had a few, let's say 'technical difficulties' when trying to film it.

The movie saw Robbie taking on the role of the glamorous Naomi Lapaglia, the wife of the main character Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

The movie involved steamy scenes between the pair, including one where they do the deed on a massive pile of money.

In fact, the actress had previously said that this scene had left her with paper cuts all over her back.

She told the Daily Beast: "It’s not as glamorous as it sounds. If anyone is ever planning on having sex on top of a pile of cash: don't."

Sound advice. Though, getting paper cuts from having sex on a massive pile of cash sounds like a good problem to have.

However, this wasn't the only sex scene related escapade in the movie.

Another infamous scene saw the pair attempting to do the deed together. However, they were interrupted by their dog deciding to start licking Leo's tones while the pair were in the midst of the act. That's enough to kill the mood.

However it transpires that it was even worse for the two stars trying to do their scene together.

While it may have appeared spontaneous in the film, the crew had to find a way to make sure the dog hit its cue, as it were.

This involved some unusual methods.

Robbie told the Evening Standard: "We [had to] entice this dog to jump in the bed and bite at Leo's feet... so we had dog trainers at the end of the bed [with] dog treats... we're putting chicken liver on Leo's toes.

"We're in a small room, it's hot, it's sweaty, it smells like dog food."

Fortunately Robbie, who was 23 at the time, saw the funny side of the whole debacle, saying: "The whole thing ended up being quite comical."

Robbie is currently receiving plaudits for her starring role in Barbie. The movie premiered last week and has already become the most successful opening weekend for any film directed by a woman.

Barbie grossed $377 million / £293 million on its opening weekend. Meanwhile, Oppenheimer, the biopic of the physicist who created the nuclear bomb, has also drawn in $180m / £140m.

The 'Barbenheimer' phenomenon has seen cinemas have their biggest weekend of 2023 so far, with some fans donning costumes to go and see both movies in the same day.
