Christopher Nolan isn't short of a few bob as it is, but his Oppenheimer payday has really boosted his bank balance.
The legendary filmmaker, known for having the Midas Touch when it comes to Hollywood blockbusters, certainly earned his extraordinary wages - but the amount of zeros on the end of his pay cheque will still blow you away.
Nolan's hard work has also been rewarded more than a handful of times throughout this year's awards season, which has finally drawn to a close.

The director, 53, cleaned up at the Oscars on Sunday night (10 March) along with the rest of Oppenheimer's star-studded cast.
The film took home a staggering seven awards after receiving 13 nominations.
Cillian Murphy picked up Best Actor for his role of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the American scientist who was tasked with leading The Manhattan Project and the creation of the first atomic bomb.
Nolan also has to make room somewhere for the two statuettes he personally received at the Oscars - which are the first awards he has ever won at the coveted ceremony.

He scooped the title of Best Director, bagging another trophy as a producer when Oppenheimer was crowned as Best Picture.
So all and all, it was a great night for everyone involved in the biopic.
But Nolan doesn't just have a few figurines to stick on his mantlepiece to commemorate the extraordinary success of the three-hour film - as he's receiving a handsome sum for all his graft too.

Oppenheimer, which was distributed by Universal, was created with a $100 million budget, but has managed to bank nearly ten times that amount at the box office.
Following it's release on 19 July last year, the movie raked in $958 million worldwide - which came to a surprise to a lot of people, as it was thought cinema fans would be put off by the film's 'R' rating and its long runtime.
But against all odds, Oppenheimer has now become the highest-grossing Best Picture winner since The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King won back in 2004.

Thankfully for Nolan, all of these details are pretty important when it comes to tallying up his payday.
He is said to have struck a favourable deal with Universal during negotiations over the rights to Oppenheimer, with the studio supposedly agreeing to give him 15 percent of the first-dollar gross on the film.
In normal people speak, this means he gets a slice of every single penny that the flick earns from the first ticket sale, even before Universal has recouped its expenses.
So it's clear Nolan is laughing all the way to the bank...but with how much?

Well, Variety reports that they have it on good authority that the Dunkirk director has walked away with a wage just south of $100 million (£78 million).
'Knowledgable sources' told the outlet that the figure is made up of a combination of salary, backend compensation, box-office escalators and a bonus for his Oscars triumph.
