It’s safe to assume that actors view sex scenes as part and parcel of their job, albeit a slightly weird part.
But sometimes the stars involved put in such a good effort that folks believe they’re watching the real deal play out on screen.

Opening up about how he landed he role, LaBeouf said he sent a photo of his penis and a video of him having sex with his then-girlfriend to director Lars von Trier.
He said: "The first info we got - and I'll never forget this because my entire team reacted with such a fear - the first request on the production end, not from Lars, was pictures of my penis.”
He added: "I sent him videotapes of me and my girlfriend having sex and that's how I got the job.”
In an interview on a US chat show, LaBeouf seemed to reveal that the sex scenes were legit.

He said: "There's a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says we're doing it for real."
The movie’s producer Louise Vesth told the Hollywood Reporter that they used body doubles for some scenes.
"We shot the actors pretending to have sex and then had the body doubles, who really did have sex, and in post (production) we will digital-impose the two,” she explained.
