McLovin actor's mum had to watch him film 'b*ner' sex scene in Superbad

Since it was his first film he didn't realise his mum needed to be there

Superbad star Christopher Mintz-Plasse has spoken about the 'absurd' situation of filming the first sex scene of his career while his mum was there.

You surely know the famous teen comedy and Mintz-Plasse's character Fogell, who is likely better known by the name on his fake Hawaii ID: McLovin.

He and his friends Evan (Michael Cera) and Seth (Jonah Hill) set out on a quest to secure booze they're not old enough to buy after Seth promises a girl at school (Emma Stone) he can supply alcohol for her big end of school party.

That really kicks off the movie, but by the end McLovin has befriended two police officers (Seth Rogen and Bill Hader) as well as started having sex with a girl called Nicola (Aviva Baumann), announcing he's 'got a boner' and getting far enough to declare 'it's in', but leaving the officers who burst in on him lamenting that they 'c**kblocked' their friend.

To repay him they publicly arrest him in front of the entire party so he'll look cool, then going off to bond with him more by setting their cop car on fire and shooting at it.

Since Mintz-Plasse was just 17 while filming Superbad, he had to have a parent present for his sex scene, and at FAN EXPO Chicago last year he was asked about 'the craziest thing you filmed during Superbad'.

He said: "The weirdest moment was, I was 17 so the sex scene that I shot, my mom had to be there on set. I didn't know that at the time, because it was my first movie.

"I came to set, I was like 'oh I'm doing my sex scene, I've got a boner'. All that kind of ****. They were like 'where's your mom', what are you talking about?

"She had to drive all the way from the valley, we had to halt production for like an hour and a half. She came to set and she was a **** delight, man.

"She was eating popcorn, talking to the producers, watching me have fake sex. It was absurd, absurd.

"But it made watching the movie with her a lot easier."

At the same convention he also talked about how he nailed his audition for the movie so much that Jonah Hill 'hated' him.

"I was in high school, and we're playing high school kids, so Jonah's roasting me and you remember being in high school.

"You're just like 'yeah, it's my **** buddy roasting me. It's not gonna bother me, I'm gonna roast him back.

"That's what I did in the audition, then I left the room I was like 'oh my god, I set aside my script, I don't know if it's gonna happen oh my god'.

"Jonah's like f**k that guy, 'til like Judd Apatow, Greg Mottola and Seth Rogen he's like 'f**k that guy, don't cast that guy'. And they all said 'we've got to cast that guy'."

The actor said that while they didn't get along 'for quite a while', Hill messaged him later to say 'sorry for being a d**k' and Mintz-Plasse said that now 'everything's great, I love that guy'.
