If you're a fan of The Conjuring universe, you're in for a real treat.
The Nun 2 hits cinemas next month and director Michael Chaves says it might just be the most violent movie in the franchise so far.
"I think that this does get darker. Even audiences have said this, when we screened it. It is definitely more violent than what they expected from a Conjuring movie," Chaves told SFX magazine.

He continued: "It’s always a delicate balance. It’s definitely scary, it’s 100 per cent delivered on that.
"Just as horror audiences have developed the appetite for horror, the appetite for violence has started to increase, and so there are some violent elements in this."
The Nun 2 meets up with Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) four years after the events of the first movie.

In an attempt to put the past behind her, Irene relocates to Italy to live a quiet life in a convent. However, Valak (Bonnie Aarons), isn't too far behind.
According to producer James Wan, Sister Irene’s friendship with Frenchie/ Maurice (played by Jonas Bloquet) will force her to face the demon nun again.
At the end of 2018’s The Nun, Frenchie was secretly possessed by Valak (played by Bonnie Aarons), which allowed her to escape from the Romanian convent.
"He [Frenchie] realises that there's only one person that can really help him, and he reaches out to Taissa Farmiga's character," Wan explained to Entertainment Weekly.

He continued: "I love this platonic friendship that the two of them have. She cares very much for him, and she wants to do everything she can to help him. At the same time, she has to confront this evil and fight it again."
Valak made her first appearance in The Conjuring 2, and terrified audiences so much she got her own spin-off. The first movie was a box office hit, grossing $365.6 million against a budget of $22 million.
The Nun 2 was written by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and Akela Cooper (Malignant) and the cast also includes Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, and Katelyn Rose Downey.
And it seems this won't be the last we see of the spooky nun.

"There’s a line in the movie: 'Demons are infinite'. I like the idea that she’s always been here in different forms. I think that there’s still more stories of Valak the demon nun to be told," Chaves told SFX.
