TRAILER: Barry Keoghan teams up with Colm Meaney in new Irish movie

It's about time these two Dubliners shared screen time, and the trailer for Bring Them Down has definitely grabbed our attention.

One actor who has probably never received enough praise is Colm Meaney, as he should be ranked as one of the finest actors Ireland has ever produced. Sure, he is a legend on Irish shores for classics like The Snapper, but it's easy to forget he has also had roles in international blockbusters like Law Abiding Citizen and TV shows such as Star Trek and Gangs of London.

While he is probably still in the early stages of a career that has already reached incredible heights, the prospect of Barry Keoghan linking up with him is an exciting one. Both hailing from the north side of County Dublin, Irish audiences are sure to be interested in any movie that has brings them together.

Bring Them Down

Well, we now have a trailer for a movie that does exactly that. Set in rural Ireland and focusing on a pretty high octane feud between rival farming families, it has already won Best Picture at the Fantastic Fest movie festival in Texas.

With Barry Keoghan in the lead, the movie also stars Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott, Nora-Jane Noone, Susan Lynch, and Paul Ready. It's set to release in cinemas on Friday, 7 February so keep an eye out for it in local cinemas early next year.
