The 2009 film takes you to the underbelly of Nashville, and it'll shock you

Viewers have been losing their minds since watching this little-known film that makes you want to take a shower after seeing it.

Fans are calling this movie ‘the craziest they've ever watched’ and say they feel totally yucked out afterwards.

Depicting a group of elderly folks on the street of Nashville, Tennessee, the entire movie - which is shot on a worn VHS home video - gets weirder and weirder by the minute.

The 2009 American black comedy film was written and directed by Harmony Korine, the very same person who also directed 2017’s Spring Breakers which starred Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez and James Franco.

But there’s a bit of a difference between the films.

One didn’t cross the realm into an utter bats**t crazy world within the first few scenes.

When clips of the film were posted to Instagram, people were quick to let others know what they really thought about the flick.

If you were to watch Trash Humpers, you’d probably feel the same way.

Take a peek:

One viewer said of the director: “I think he made this one just to see if he could get away with it.

Another agreed: “Literally the worst film I’ve ever watched.”

“You have to just watch with either the sound off or play music over it. It is the only way. The noises they make become intolerable otherwise,” said another viewer.

Starring Travis Nicholson, the director himself and his wife, Rachel Korine, it's a crazy watch.

Someone else chimed in: “Definitely the craziest thing I’ve ever watched ‘Make it, make it, don’t fake it’.”

Another person wrote: “Trash Humpers is disturbing, unique in how it was made, the locations he used are fascinating and the people he got on camera are unforgettable and disturbing.

"I imagine it’s like the nightmares of a meth head. The last scene disturbed me and made me question everything I had seen leading up to it.”

Basically, the film is a black comedy film which ‘follows a small group of elderly ‘peeping toms’ through the shadows and margins of an unfamiliar world.’

Set up as a strange documentary-style film, the characters become more and more sadistic with their acts, until it gets to a climax your eyes will regret ever watching.

The group is described as ‘true sociopaths, the likes of which have never been seen before’ while they ‘hump’ trash, vandalise property and abandoned dwellings, slap the asses of women of the night and engage in strange behaviour.

One funny aspect is that there’s one character who remains hidden throughout, because he spends the entire time constipated on the toilet while the rest of the group is out causing chaos.

One person wrote about those who they weren’t happy with it: “Sorry if you didn’t like Trash Humpers it must be awful not thinking about yourself in alternate timelines with your best friends humping trash, beating up TV sets, pounding 40s and destroying baby dolls every waking moment of every day.”

I mean, that’s not a situation I’ve ever thought about, but OK.
