The ex-wife of Jordan Belfort, the subject of The Wolf of Wall Street, has spoken out to confirm a particularly disturbing moment in the movie really happened.
Nadine Macaluso, who was played by Margot Robbie in the movie under the name Naomi Lapaglia, recently spoke to Anything Goes with James English and discussed the film.
It turns out that much of what you saw in the Martin Scorsese directed film really did happen.

When asked how much of the movie was accurate she replied 'oh, 90 percent', so plenty of what you see in The Wolf of Wall Street is reasonably close to the actual events they're based on.
In fact, the movie might even be pulling some punches as Nadine said the true story was 'even more over the top than what it showed'.
She was then asked about the infamous party at which she first met Jordan Belfort, and confirmed that one particularly disgusting moment depicted in the movie was very accurate.

She said: "I went to that party with my boyfriend and just like the movie shows, someone exposed themselves to me.
"I was totally freaked out, I said to him 'we gotta get outta here, these people are nuts'.
"I didn't know they were all on Quaaludes at the time, I was 22, I didn't even know what a Quaalude was, and we left.
"But then I guess Jordan had set his sights on me and decided he wanted to date me."

In the film, it was Jonah Hill's character who did that, and actual footage from that party shows that what happens in the movie lines up pretty closely to what really happened to these people.
The disturbing fact that someone exposed themselves to Nadine during the party is also something she's confirmed previously.
"Well, it's actually pretty similar to the movie," she said in a TikTok video, where she also explained that she 'got terrified' by someone exposing themselves to her.

"I was, I guess, 22 years old and modelling and my boyfriend at the time, said, 'You want to go to this party in Westhampton in this house on the beach?', and I was like, 'Sure'.
"And so we pulled up, and I remember walking into the house, and there were all these people acting really weird. Little did I know that they were all Quaaluded out, I had no idea."
As with the version of events, she told to Anything Goes that she left right after that happened.
