British DJ Fred Again had one thing on his mind when he stepped out onto The Other Stage at Glastonbury this evening: he wanted to break a record.
Was it a record for the number of happy fans at a gig? No, the DJ wasn't bothered about that.
Well, he probably was, but not as much as he was bothered about trying to get as many people sitting on other people's shoulders as possible.

It's pretty common to see festival-goers being hoisted up by their mates during performances at Glastonbury, with fans regularly caught on camera as they stand tall above everyone else, but Fred Again obviously wanted everyone to be involved in the fun.
While performing on The Other Stage - that's what the stage is actually called, I'm not being purposefully vague - the DJ encouraged everyone in the crowd to climb up on their mates' shoulders in the hope of 'breaking a record' ahead of playing his hit track 'Marea (we’ve lost dancing)'.
I'm not entirely sure what the record for the number of people on shoulders at a festival actually is, as the Guinness Book of World Records doesn't seem to have any such entry, but the crowd at The Other Stage must surely be up there as images from the event show countless people joining in.

With more than 200,000 people expected to attend Glastonbury, that's a lot of potential people on shoulders.
If there isn't an official record already, maybe this could be the one? It could join the records for 'most people supported on the shoulders' (11), the most people performing a shoulder stand simultaneously (1,134), and the largest game of head, shoulders, knees and toes (1,632 participants). There's some fun facts for your evening.
Fred Again has been widely praised for his performance at Glastonbury this year, with fans at home taking the time to compliment his epic set after it came to an end.

"Fred Again has just absolutely lit Glastonbury up!!! What a set," one person wrote, while another tweeted: "Would’ve done anything to be at Glastonbury watching Fred Again right now."
The DJ seemed to be just as impressed as the fans at some points during his set, as during one song he was left speechless as the crowd lit up the festival with their phone torches.
Fred Again is one of dozens of artists set to perform this weekend, with other acts including Guns n Roses, Elton John, Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi and Lil Nas X.
