A Twitch streamer lost his 18-hour no death streak on GTA 5 in the most ridiculous way possible.

Australian content creator Nathan, who goes by the name 'Crayator' online, is known for streaming some of the biggest video games around, as his followers watch on from Twitch.

Most recently, the gamer was attempting a no-death run on GTA 5, an 11-year-old title that millions still play due to ongoing updates.

Now, the popular streamer was 18 hours into his story campaign when he stumbled to his death in the most annoying way.

Nathan's character was driving up a multi-story car park with an inviting ramp in his way.

GTA players will know that whenever there is a ramp, the temptation to drive right over it is always there.

Meanwhile, Nathan went for the top-floor jump, landed straight into a skyscraper and fell to his death.

His 18-hour run was over and the gaming legend was absolutely gutted.

On stream, he said: "18 hours of my life wasted. That is crazy. I’m actually upset. Oh my god, that’s sucks."

Despite the disappointment, Nathan powered through another 14-hour mission to arrive at the same car park, at the same exact jump.

After a back and forth with his fans, they convinced him to give it another go, but with much more speed.

Thankfully, Nathan avoided heartbreak when he cleared the building, while still managing to crash into a palm tree. The only difference is that, this time, his character somehow survived.

Rightly so, he celebrated with his fans after completing the jump.

Although gamers like Nathan are still enjoying GTA 5, most fans are eagerly anticipating the next instalment of the Rockstar franchise, and they've had to wait long enough.

Amid the excitement though, a former Rockstar Games developer who worked with the company for over 20 years, provided a potentially disappointing verdict after watching the trailer.

"I don’t think it’s going to be wildly different from GTA 5," ex technical director Obbe Vermeij told YouTuber SanInPlay on his channel.

"I think maybe people might be a little disappointed on the first day but it’s still going to be the best game out there.

"It’s going to be a good game for sure."

In part, he blames the lack of technological advances in the gaming space.

He added: "There’s some rumours about creating new technology having to do with animation and AI and all that stuff.

"I think it’s time for a revolution where animation is more so AI-driven and physics-driven.

"If anyone is gonna make that step, it’s gonna be Rockstar."

GTA 6 is expected to release in fall 2025 and will include the franchise's first-ever female lead character.
