After waiting on tenterhooks for more than ten years, gamers have finally got the news they have been waiting for - a date for when Grand Theft Auto VI will be released.
Following years of speculation, Rockstar have now set the ball rolling surrounding the project, after a huge leak stunned the industry and almost derailed the rollout before the trailer for it dropped last December.
Take a look at what is in store here:
People can now get excited about immersing themselves in the fictional open-world state of Leonida as Take Two Interactive, the company which owns Rockstar, revealed the release date they are working towards.

CEO Strauss Zelnick seemingly debunked rumours of delays that could push GTA 6 into dropping in 2026 as he announced yesterday (16 May) that gamers should be marking their calendars for autumn next year.
He told IGN: "We do feel highly confident that we'll deliver [Grand Theft Auto VI] in fall of 2025."
So, seen as though you've been patiently waiting for the last 11 years, another 16 months or so won't hurt, will it?
It will certainly give you an extra chunk of time to start saving up the money to afford GTA 6, so that you don't have to beg, borrow and steal to pay for it when it finally arrives.

The game - which will be available on Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5 - will likely have all the bells and whistles thanks to its rumoured billion dollar budget, so naturally, fans have been pondering how much it will be priced at.
One social media user said in a post on X: "Imagine how much GTA 6 is going to cost..."
Another said: "GTA VI is one of the most expensive video games ever made, which makes me wonder how much GTA 6 will cost."

A third added: "You all think GTA 6 will cost $399?"
A fourth chimed in: "GTA 6 cost them a billion dollars to make, they need that bread."
There's a few different figures flying around online, but one thing seems certain - it's going to cost a fair few quid.
Speculation suggests that it could cost somewhere upwards of £120 ($150), while others suggested it might remain in the double digits like some other successful gaming franchises have.

Take Spider-Man 2, which was released in October last year for £69.99 in the UK, so it was quite budget friendly.
However, others have pointed out that Rockstar have bills to pay and will obviously want to capitalise on the buzz surrounding the upcoming instalment to the Grand Theft Auto games collection.
Aside from the nuggets of knowledge we've drawn from the trailer, there isn't much information about what GTA 6 will be like except for a few tidbits.

The game is set to be based in a world which has taken inspiration from Florida, known as Leonida, where a character named Lucia and her unnamed male sidekick - understood to be Jason - will run riot.
Billed as a Bonnie and Clyde kind of relationship, the pair go to town in Vice City and are shown robbing a store at one point in the trailer.
There's also rumours that Rockstar have taken inspiration from real life events which have occurred in the sunshine state for characters in GTA 6 - so don't be surprised if you see the 'Florida Joker' causing chaos.
On top of that, there is also the inclusion of Weazel News - which is inspired by US outlet Fox - that mocks the Florida Man meme with one of its stories about a 'Leonida man' who got sucked into a water spout.
