But aside from Netflix, one of the big winners from its success has been pop icon Kate Bush, whose tune was pivotal to Max's (Sadie Sink) storyline.
As a result it shot up the charts, reaching number one in the UK.
And when asked about the track during his interview with Jimmy Fallon, Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson in the series, said he was particularly happy about it.
The 19-year-old told the host: "It's great for me, because it’s replaced NeverEnding Story. It's awesome."

Fans of the show will remember back in season three, in the episode 'The Battle of Starcourt', Dustin and his girlfriend Suzie belted out an iconic rendition of 'NeverEnding Story'.

The popularity has also provided a huge boost to Bush's bank balance.
Between 27 May and 23 June, the British singer reportedly earned $2.3 million (£1.87m) in streaming royalties - a figure that will no doubt rise even further over the coming days and weeks.
Rob Jonas, the CEO of Luminate, told CBS MoneyWatch that he had never seen anything like it.

In a post to her blog last week, Bush said she just couldn't believe the reaction.
She said: "Whoooo Hoooo everybody! I just can’t believe it - No. 1 for the third week. We’re all so excited! In fact it’s all starting to feel a bit surreal.

"I was so delighted that the Duffer Brothers wanted to use RUTH for Max’s totem but now having seen the whole of this last series, I feel deeply honoured that the song was chosen to become a part of their roller coaster journey.
"I can’t imagine the amount of hard work that’s gone into making something on this scale. I am in awe. They’ve made something really spectacular."
