If you are a bit of a horror fan, you may have already tuned in to watch last year's thriller/drama Soft & Quiet.
Well, it appears that Gen Zers are struggling to even finish this film due to how horrifying it actually is.
Despite the film being out since last year, the younger generation are discovering Soft & Quiet for the first time on TikTok thanks to the popular movie influencer LetsWatchThat featuring it on their page.

For those unaware of the horror film, Soft & Quiet is a runaway train that follows just a single afternoon in the life of elementary school teacher Emily.
The teacher organises a club meeting of like-minded women, with the booze well and truly flowing.
The group decide to move the meeting to Emily's house so that the wine drinking can keep on going.

However, the group run out of refreshments, so they stop at the local shop to stock up on supplies.
This is when an altercation between a woman from Emily's past and the group takes place, with it all going rather violent from there.
Uniquely, Soft & Quiet is filmed in just one cut, which really adds to the spookiness of the film.
It touches on some really sensitive targets too, from racist language used in that shop scene to swastikas carved into innocent-looking cakes.

Small spoiler alert - but one scene sees the group of women kidnap two Asian-American women and hold them hostage.
They then torture them in ways you wouldn't expect, leaving viewers mortified.
The Beth de Araújo-directed film sits at an impressive 86 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, and was branded as 'the most terrifying film of the year' by IndieWire.
In a video uploaded to TikTok, LetsWatchThis added: "Soft & Quiet is the first movie that I have watched in 2023.

"The really disturbing part about this film is that this happens in our society, and this group of women represents a very scary reality.
"The way these characters unfold is extremely horrific. It is frustrating to a level that I can’t even explain."
Many Gen Zers took to the comment section of the TikTok to provide their thoughts on the film, too.

A second added: "Probably one of the hardest movies for me to finish."
And a third remarked: "SO many thoughts about this movie. There's so much to dissect. It will sit with me for a long time. Absolutely horrifying."
