Gordon Ramsay has instructed his fans on how to get 'beautiful fragrant shards' from a leaf using a rolling technique he learned from Snoop Dogg.
Just two celebrities who love things baked, helping each other out.
I can assure you that Ramsay wasn't switching his title of 'angry chef' for 'stoned chef' when he shared this technique with the world on the official MasterClass TikTok page - at least, he wasn't doing so in an obvious way.

But it would be hard to miss his hints at how his passion for cooking crossed over with Snoop's passion for smoking weed when he gathered up some leaves to chop up for a recipe.
There wasn't actually any marijuana involved in Ramsay's video, so we won't be making any space cakes today. Instead the chef was working with mint - another plant that can be reduced to near-mulch before consumption.
Grabbing his knife, Ramsay explained Snoop had showed him how to find the largest leaf and use it to hold all the smaller leaves inside.

Snoop is no stranger to rolling, and he obviously passed on his expertise as Ramsay demonstrated how to roll the largest leaf into a tight tube with the other leaves inside.
"It's a great way of rolling mint," Ramsay said. Again, to be clear, there's nothing illegal happening here.
Ramsay then chopped up the rolled mint to create 'beautiful fragrant shards of mint'. A grinder would probably be quicker, but at least Ramsay has the knife skills.
Hearing about the crossover between Ramsay and Snoop has delighted fans, with one responding to the video to demand 'a Snoop Dogg and Gordon Ramsay show asap'.

"Love it when skills translate," another viewer wrote, while a third commented: "ah, yes, of MINT. Got to make sure we specify it is for mint. nothing else."
Other viewers have been left dubious - or doobie-ous, if you will - by the video, with some arguing that the technique Ramsay demonstrated was actually called a 'chiffonade', and that he would have 'learned that in chef school'.
A chiffonade, for the amateurs like me, involves 'neatly stacking the leaves flat' before 'rolling the stack of leaves together tightly'.

It does admittedly sound similar to Snoop's technique, but the official MasterClass TikTok page insisted Ramsay had learned it from the rapper, responding: "No but Gordon said his friend Snoop Dogg showed it to him."
Whatever the origins may be, it's clear the technique can come in handy in a range of situations.
