Janusz, 34, East Sussex
When not busy working as a personal assistant to a head teacher, Janusz loved baking "cartoon-like, colourful and camp" creations.
He says he learned to bake from his mother, and loves to incorporate Polish ingredients into British classics. His favourite flavours are ginger and chocolate.
Kevin, 33, Lanarkshire
A music teacher by trade, Kevin has been baking since he was a teenager.
He loved to use the best seasonal ingredients he can get, and loves to work on technique rather than presentation.
Will the judges agree with him? His favourite flavours include fruits, herbs, nuts and spices.
Maisam, 18, Greater Manchester
This year's youngest baker is student & sales assistant Maisam who has been baking since she was 13-years-old.
She's something of a perfectionist and practices her bakes over and over. Her favourite flavours include olives, dates and sesame seeds.
Maxy, 29, London
In between working as an architectural assistant and being a busy mum, Maxy honed her baking skills following the birth of her first daughter five years ago.
Her favourite flavours hark back to her Scandinavian upbringing. Think cardamom and saffron buns and cinnamon rolls.
Rebs, 23, County Antrim
Masters student Reb has been helping her mum in the kitchen at just three years old.
One of her favourite baking memory is the delicious lemon meringue pies baked by her Gran.
She uses baking as a method to unwind, and loves Middle Eastern flavours thanks to her boyfriend's Turkish heritage.
Sandro, 30, London
He works as a nanny and also runs virtual baking classes for children with autism.
Sandro first started baking at the age of 21 when he sadly lost his father, and he used baking as a form of therapy. His favourite flavours include paprika and cheese, and dulce de leche.
Syabira, 32, London
The cardiovascular research associate started baking in 2017.
Her first ever creation was a red velvet cake, and she now loves to add Malaysian flavours to traditional bakes. How about a chicken rendang Cornish pasty?
Will, 45, London
A former charity director, Will has also been baking since he was a toddler. He remembers when his mum would give him pastry trimmings to make jam tarts.
He loves using yeast in bakes as he enjoys the technical side of baking. His favourite flavours are salted caramel and paprika.
