Trailer drops for horror movie that's 'so gory and disgusting' it made actor throw up

The film is so disturbing it even had the cast throwing up

A trailer has dropped for a movie that will not only sicken it’s viewers, but it made even one of the actors taking part in the scenes ill too.

It’s a seriously impressive feat - especially for a horror movie where every actor surely knows what they’re signing on for.

In this case though, it was all too much for one of the stars of the film.

Check out the trailer for the horror film here which the Euphoria star described as ‘gory and disgusting’:

The film is Smile 2, which is releasing later this year.

Smile 2 is a sequel to the smash-hit horror film that was called the ‘creepiest of 2022’ by many.

It focuses on a curse where someone is plagued by everyone they meet breaking into a hideous smile before carrying out violent acts.

Without spoiling the first (go watch it) it has a shocking twist to end the film, and the shock factor seems to have carried over to Smile 2.

With the curse transferred to a new host, the only remaining cast member from the first film is Kyle Gallner, who plays Joel.

New to the sequel, however, is Aladdin star Naomi Scott, and co-star Lukas Gage.

Gage recently did an interview about the sequel where he revealed that whilst filming, the gore from the movie had led him to throw up.

He told The Jess Cagle Show: “I'm so scared to give any spoilers away. I just — if you love the first movie, you're gonna love this one.

"It's so terrifying. It was the first time I've ever been on a set where I was genuinely afraid, and I actually got sick to my stomach in one take.

“I didn't think I would. I just, it was so gory and so disgusting.”

Gage then went on to tell the show that, after a particularly disgusting scene – he threw up off camera.

He also spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, where he said: “I was really shocked how intense it is on the day.

“You just think, ‘Oh, it’s acting, it’s gonna be fine,’ but that movie is so scary. The whole crew was terrified.

“That smile itself is just so creepy, and then you throw the most gory scenes on top of it.

Joining Gage in the cast, co-star Naomi Scott will be playing a pop-star ‘Skye Riley’ who is now herself under the smiley curse.

If the first film, and this new trailer, is anything to go by – the sequel will be a terrifying watch.
