So the saying goes, two's company and three's a crowd. Well, Idris Elba discovered just how true that is.
The actor said he and his wife were getting down to business when they were rudely interrupted by a bat. Yep, really.
Elba was filming in South Africa and decided to take a comfort break with his partner, Sabrina.

The 49-year-old explained that the pair hopped in the shower together but that the moment was quickly ruined when they spotted the winged mammal lurking.
Now, playing such a hard man on the big screen, you'd think this would have been small fry for Dris, wouldn't you? Wrong.
It would appear that the movie star met his match on that occasion, and bolted it when he saw the creature hanging in the shower.
Speaking to Men's Journal about the encounter, he said: "I was shooting in Limpopo. My wife was there and we were going to have some fun in the shower.

"Some morning romance, you know? She got in, then I followed her and closed the door. But then I looked down and clinging for life to the inside shower door handle was this bat.
"A tiny, wet bat. I hate bats. It was freaky as f***. I jumped out of the shower so fast. My wife makes fun of me about it to this day — 'You left me in the shower with a bat!'"
Now, before you go criticising Elba for leaving his loved one behind, he pointed out later that he had actually developed a huge phobia of bats while out in Australia in 2019. So give the guy a break.

But while wildlife may not be his bag, Elba is still able to pretend he's hard on the big screen.
And he recently hinted that he is 'cooking' something big with DC.
Many fans have wondered whether we could finally be getting a spin-off about his Suicide Squad character Bloodsport.
While sitting down with entertainment reporter Erik Davis, he was asked if he would ever contemplate returning to the DC or Marvel universe.

Elba revealed that a major project was in the works with DC.
Davis shared on Twitter: "I just spoke with Idris Elba about his new film #Beast. I asked what we’ll see him in next - a Marvel project or DC, and he said DC.
"He said he’s got a really big thing cooking for DC right now."
The comment section went wild, with many trying to predict what the upcoming project could be.
