He enters the show as the second contestant with a famous father, joining Micheal Owen’s daughter Gemma Owen.
However unlike Gemma, it didn’t take Jack long to reveal who his celebrity dad was.
His father is none other than the Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, and his mother is both a model and television personality Yvonne Connolly.

But although i’m sure some parents could think of nothing worse than watching their child find love on national TV, Jack revealed that his father will definitely “be watching when (he’s) on it for sure”, going on to add that “he’s buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we are best mates”.
When Jack announced his arrival to his fourteen thousand Instagram followers on his page, jackkeating11, his dad replied with support, commenting “Let’s Go Son”.
Why did Jack Keating want to be on Love Island?
Jack revealed that he’s wanted to come on Love Island for some time now, after being single for a very long time, “probably four or five years”.

He spoke to ITV and said that “I’ve really been missing that spark that I haven’t been getting on the dating scene, like I’ve been dating for a long time. And I just thought why not? Hopefully I’ll get a connection with somebody and see what happens.”
He continued to say that he’s hoping to bring “a bit of energy” to the villa, thinking that he is “a pretty positive, fun guy” with “some good chat and a bit of Irish charm as well”.
But don’t be fooled by his fun loving, cheeky exterior, because he’s also not afraid of stepping on some toes in Casa Amor, admitting that he does have “a competitive edge”.
He also said that “I'm gonna have to potentially break up a couple maybe. It won’t be the most ideal thing, but I've got to do what’s best for me.”
